Yep, I think bobbyowenquiff was being a bit unfair. Times have changed drastically for us Blues (one way or the other) since the days of Midget Land & the Thursday Cup. There has been a definite and gradual apathy towards some of our CL Group games. Loads of coaches full of school kids from all over the place (presumably subsidised by the Club to fill seats). Plus plenty of tourists & corporates too. Without them our crowds would have been well down IMHO. For example, we have plenty of people on our SC coach for PL games but numbers are always well down for CL nights.
There is no doubt in my mind that a big part of this is down to the way UEFA have tried to screw us over. Some fans have just had enough of it.
That's why City have to price tickets attractively but still we will get probably only 35k- 45k IMHO for Leipzig. As you say, though, the ground will be full for the PSG game, no doubt about that.

Some fans just want to go to the occasional Champs League games. School parties are welcome at the matches if they can get tickets and corporates are a feature at all top (and even average) football clubs. To say these people artificially inflate attendances shows a lack of understanding of match going fans.

There are many football fans who like our style of football and enjoy champs league nights. They don’t have to be dyed in the wool Blues.

You seem to have missed the point on this issue. It was about the need to offer attractive ticket prices to attract more fans to some CL games. That's a fact and to suggest a lack of understanding of match going fans is a bit disrespectful. I never said anyone wasn't welcome. Quite simply, the seats not being taken up by regulars for these games are being filled by others, many of whom have had the opportunity via low ticket prices. Just like us Seasoncard holders. Artificially inflating attendances has nothing to do with it.

No probs Tim. I know quite a few Blues up here who sadly don't appreciate watching City's CL involvement any more, even after all those years of waiting for it. We used to get 40 on our coach for CL nights but nowadays we struggle to get more than 25, and sometimes less than 20. I would be surprised if that's not the case elsewhere so it's a good job City offer these discounted prices to attract others. I know UEFA is corrupt and I'd much prefer the old European Cup format but at the end of the day I still want us to win it. Cheap tickets for me are a bonus.

The best way to do it would be to increase the loyalty points if you attend an unattractive fixture say 40 for Wycombe
That would increase the capacity

We don’t want a delay in the answers(minutes to be posted on such a date), to be fobbed off by the club, the club can’t go into specific details because, blah, blah, blah...., the usual carefully worded guff by the club, etc.

We all know the Directors know what’s going on, but print this off, and show it to them at next meeting.
