Formula 1 2022

Aren't journalist's allowed to comment freely?

The actions of Max show arrogance and immaturity. Possibly a little guilt?

Comments made he doesn't like so Verstappen and his team go GPC on that person and his organisation.

it won't win him or his team any new fans. It will perpetrate the impression they are a team of cunts.

Your arguments are irrational. As City fans we call out the media for their bias and for our club to fight back. RB have done what many City fans call for our club to do but in your perverse world that makes them cunts. Okay.

I really don’t have a dog in this fight but find the anti RB narrative bizarre.

Verstappen did what a lot of posters want our club to do to reporters who ask negative questions by not speaking with them.

Interestingly most seem to think MV was wrong for doing that.

Ah I didn’t realise. Very unprofessional of Kravitz.

And hardly warrants calling Verstappen ‘a horrible character’.

Not having heard Kravitz' broadcast, I assume that the issue is with repeated use of the word 'robbed'.

Red Bull didn't break the rules, and there is no meaningful evidence that they were involved in decisionmaking (sure, during the Abu Dhabi race they tried lobbying race control, but everyone did that during races).

If I was World Champion, and a commentator repeatedly said "you don't deserve it, it was stolen", I wouldn't much want to waste my time.

Hamilton has had more shit than one throwaway comment thrown at him. Take this weekends example of media shit stirring with Alonso. He challenges it and doesn't shy away from giving it back. Max and his team are acting like spoilt kids.

Well, it all depends on what the reporter says, doesn't it? If Kravitz said Lewis was robbed of the title last season, he was just saying something that is factually correct. If Miggy says we are state owned, it's factually incorrect. So you can't just conflate the 2 things.

It's more a fiercely Pro-Hamilton stance. Which then equates to anti-the competition. The way that Verstappen won the title last year also has annoyed said Hamilton supporters. Also, Horner is seen as an arrogant tw@. Like yourself, I don't have a horse in this race. I don't find either Hamilton or Verstappen overly likeable; they come across (repeat, "come across", I'm not saying they are) as arrogant. But then, it's a perception that can be levelled at a lot of former F1 champions. Schumacher, Senna, Mansell, Prost, Vettel, Rosberg (Nico). All of them could be seen by non fans as being, at best aloof or detached. Maybe that's what made them the champions they were. I'd love to see someone like Russell, Norris, LeClerc, Perez, Sainz or the grinning Aussie win it. They seem to be relatively okay people. But I won't hold my breath.

It’s quite easy to. Max felt aggrieved at what was said as our fans do about what is said.

They are both the reporters’ opinions.

The fundamental difference is our club don’t see bans as the way forward.

Verstappen has also said that it was a response to (obviously Kravitz) repeatedly throwing fuel on the social media fire:
"Nothing to do with this weekend, but this year it's been a constant digging, being disrespectful, especially one particular person and at one point it's enough and I just don't accept it,"
"At the moment, social media is a very toxic place and if you are constantly being like that live on TV, you make it only worse instead of trying to make it better in the world.
"You keep disrespecting me and at one point I'm not tolerating it anymore, so that's why I decided to just stop answering [questions from Sky]."

It seems Kravitz chirped in Japan about another 'unusual' way to win a championship; he chirped in the US, and he chirped in Mexico. I'm assuming (I don't know) that RB expressed irritation previously, only for Kravitz to repeat it. I bet half the people on social media would say RB cheated to win, which they didn't.

Red Bull ignored Sky for one day of the GP, and have indicated that normal service will be renewed at the next GP (not sure which day of it though).

So it’s exactly the same, barring it’s us fans that want media blackouts, not the club?
