Formula 1 2022

I'm starting to think that skipping the last two races might be a good idea.

Have a long off season period like the old days and then be chomping at the bit for the first race next year.

Although I'm a bit worried that next season basically boils down to whether or not Merc can put together a championship contending car again. A Verstappen led Red Bull team is very strong opposition and I feel only Hamilton can run him close out of the current crop of drivers.

Red Bull are lightyears ahead at the moment understanding their car and the new regulations. They can evolve that further next year, Mercedes on the other hand still don’t fully understand the issues in their car. Next years Mercedes will be completely different to this years as they are abandoning the ideas implemented to go off in a new design direction, it could work and be a silver bullet. I’ve got a feeling they will still be playing catch up. They have done well to be more competitive than Ferrari the last couple of races when Ferrari had the fastest car in the early stages of the season.

Ramming cars now Refusing to speak to broadcasters
That’s it ?

He seems to give plenty of interviews and as far as I’m aware only refused to take part in Drive to Survive as it wasn’t a true to life depiction. Something that has been confirmed by many others. Good for him I say.

As for the ‘ramming cars’ all great drivers drive on the edge and I don’t think he’s any worse than anyone else.

Mercedes took that huge punt about minimal sidepods at the start of this season, and it didn't work well.

Verstappen got annoyed with Kravitz' comments about Abu Dhabi last year, and as it was repeated again at the previous race, isn't engaging with Sky.

That's spread and the entire team have made themselves unavailable - hence no Horner post-race for Sky.

This seems a reasonable summary (more so than I'd expect from British media sites):

They did and that means ripping that up and starting again. If they had gone with a more conventional design they could have been a lot closer to Red Bull. It’s a lot of money reversing that and starting afresh all the while Red Bull can continue developing what looks like a rocket ship of a car.

Exactly.
From memory, the ties that they applied to stop the floor flapping were only allowable once the regs were changed after the season started.

Ah I didn’t realise. Very unprofessional of Kravitz.

And hardly warrants calling Verstappen ‘a horrible character’.

Aren't journalist's allowed to comment freely?

The actions of Max show arrogance and immaturity. Possibly a little guilt?

Comments made he doesn't like so Verstappen and his team go GPC on that person and his organisation.

it won't win him or his team any new fans. It will perpetrate the impression they are a team of cunts.

Interesting one this, the media thread on here has a lot of people saying we should ban journalists etc with their bias and slanderous statements. Neville has said some potential naughty stuff in regards our owners and not a thing is said out in public in what the clubs position is. The guy from Sky f1 says something and Red Bull as an organisation go in on him and Sky as well.
