FPL - Fantasy Premier League - 2024/25

3 blanks for me this weekend (VVD, Salah and Isak), but only one free transfer. Might need to deploy the wild card. Maybe Kluivert in for Salah (or Fernandes, though I'm reluctant), Van Hecke for VVD and Wissa for Isak. Nothing set in stone just yet, though;got a couple of days to think about it.
You might cause more problems than you solve wildcarding now especially if you can get 11 players out.

For a start you don't know which teams will have DGW'S yet. FA cup semi finalists and the team's they are due to face. Could be as many as 8 team's with doubles around GW33, should be at least 6.

Yeah, but it's either take a -8 or play this GW with only ten players (Iwobi to come off the bench).

I'd play Iwobi at home to spurs, and use the ft to get 11 players. Bednarek should play I have him as well and have to start him, he's good for 1 point :)

Brought Haaland back in a couple of days ago. Going to captain him the next 2 weeks. Going to wildcard in 31 so it depends if City gets to the FA cup semi if I keep him longer term or wildcard him out.
Nice, just can't do it with him this GW and I've got to watch the leaks tomorrow and hope Marmoush starts.

I'll have 11 out there this week, but I'm going WC30 as I anticipate price rises over the break, and I'll know all I need to know by the end of it. Is there a chance that the specifics on the DGW won't be known by then? Absolutely, BUT, we'll know they are coming at some point and that will be enough for me.

The only way I do the surgery on my team that I want to do (a planned bye to Palmer and a likely/possible Haaland in) is to do this in GW30, while also bringing in Isak back (lost the least value on him) by removing this week.

I'm at at least 8 players to swap on GW30 WC, and that's enough for me with the FA results and potential reveals being known. Once either or both of AVL and/or City win in FA, that game is happening DGW33 as AVL are still in UCL, so that and the NEW double DGW32 is enough for me to do what needs to be done. CRY and NFO winning in FA if it happens would just be a bonus to my plans, and I don't see the reason to miss price rises to wait until GW31.

You heard it here first. ;-)

I did Palmer and Isak to Haaland and Gibbs-White, with 0.1M to spare. I also have to bring Isak back on the WC but my team looks pretty solid in 30 so still happy with the 31 WC, otherwise I'd be wildcarding out players with good fixtures in 30, and an extra week's info is always good.

Looks like Bednarek is out this week, so I'm down to 10, I'm now considering TAA to Gvardiol for a -4 not something I'd normally do for a defender but with 2 home games before the WC might be worth rolling the dice.

Bednarek confirmed out with concussion.

The manager said he'd be fine last week.

Have gone with Van Hecke and Minteh to replace VVD and Salah, and have brought in Iwobi off the bench for Isak. Cost me a -4.

I won't be too upset if the two Brighton lads earn blanks tomorrow, mind.

Why would you bring in two players that are likely to blank ?

Likely? Brighton are having a very good season. And we're not. Not sure where you get "likely" from. Though I hope you're right!

Just strange to bring in 2 players when they are playing one of the toughest games away from home and have Villa next.
Notts Forest and Bournemouth have far easier next couple of games.

I enjoy the challenge.

Can I finish in the top 10%, or the top 5%, or the top 1%.
I enjoy the comedy.

As in when your BlueMoon H2H opponent is still stuck on playing week 3 of the AssMan chip and forgets they desperately need a Free Hit this week, but are unable to do so. I saw this coming last week, but wasn't sure how they were going to get out of that, and it turns out they didn't.

Good luck with your 6 players + AssMan in that imposing 3-1-1 and no City. I'll take my chances. Get in, Marmoush!
