Frank Lampard..

Re: Frank Lampard to NYCFC?

Why do I find the thought of Lampard playing for us so funny?

What is the point in this? other than keep Lampard fit. doesn't benefit Man City much.

Why wouldn't it benefit City? He may effectively be very cheap to City: it might be that all or most of his wage will be paid by NYCFC.

He may not get a lot of game time but there could be situations where he is useful and his experience and attitude might be something for others to learn from.

If he does end up on loan with us and plays, he might well chip in a few goals in a side like ours.

I confess I am a bit surprised that he is being tipped to play for us, as opposed to just training with us, but the run of money on him suggests someone knows something: I couldn't see many people laying money down otherwise.

And he is bound to get the winner at Stamford Bridge, if he is still here .... :)

Re: Frank Lampard to NYCFC?

if this is true ,its very very clever,we are paying him anyway, he is home grown,he is still a top player, with bags of c/l experience, for all those who questioned, the point of forming nyc, this is good example,of the mutual benefits, usa, austraila, japan, the mind boggles .the club just keeps on surprising us,,mcfc 3 steps ahead of the rest of the football world ,

Re: Frank Lampard to NYCFC?

Lampard will be our League Cup box-to-box midfielder. :-)

So Lampard in for 6 months... Rodwell out for 6 months do we think?
I think we keep Rodwell to help with HG IMO.

Yaya Toure
Fernandinho
Fernando
Lampard
Rodwell

midfield pecking order IMO

That to me is the problem MH. He could well get 15-20 games in at non Euro paticipant like say Leicester Barcodes Sunderland, rather than get League Cup action at ours.

Re: Frank Lampard to NYCFC?

As Lampard would return to New York in January if this happens. Anyone else think this may be a sign that City plan to go for R.Barkley in the Winter transfer window?

Re: Frank Lampard to NYCFC?

No downside to this, 6 months only, helps out if crisis hits, helps with rotation we end up with a perfectly balanced midfield and squad.

Re: Frank Lampard to NYCFC?

Fucking hell whats this place. Just found it.

Lamps in fine by me

See you next transfer window if I find here again

cheers

Loan deals between clubs with same owner can be a b...t, and i'm sure UEFA and FFP will kill us if we went on to loan him from NYCFC.
