Will be interesting if we are still in all competitions, Toure is away at ACON and Lamps is playing a key role in the team when January comes around.

Would it more important to keep him with us or to get the NYCFC franchise off to a salient start?

He's on loan from them. I think they might want him back in time to prepare properly with his actual team mates. Not sure he'll be able to cover any games Yaya misses in ACN
I've heard we're quite friendly with NYCFC... also pretty sure Pellegrini said Lampard "will play for us until January – we’ll see after that."

Lamps? Oh dear god. Make this stop!

I'd be surprised if Yaya plays in ACON this year he's been thinking about retiring for sometime now last one they was turmoil in Ivory Coast.

The Manchester City’s midfield powerhouse also hinted that it was not yet time for him to hang up his international boots.

“Before I retire, I would like to win something with my country, and that is also what the fans want. Hervé Renard is someone with a strong character and I hope he will lead us as far as possible,” the 31-year-old added.

Can't see him retiring he will want to go

I think he could end up staying the full season.

Gives us the opportunity to rest yaya, fernandinho or Fernando as and when.

Gives that vital 'know how' that we sometimes lack in the biggest CL games. Lampard is extremely experienced in that competition and knows his way round it.

Make no mistake lampard is one of the top midfielders the prem and CL have seen and he still has 'it' in bucketloads.

I championed us going in for him this time last year but it never happened. I think this is one seriously fucking astute piece of business.

Add lampard to the Sagna deal and we've basically acquired 2 very good, very experienced players for fuck all.

Well done city.

How many chances do they want they've had such great players and haven't won ACON once even getting to the final and losing to Zambia can't see them winning it any time soon they're the biggest bottlers when it comes to ACON.
