Fulham (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

I think Ake's goal was offside as Akanji was close enough to the flight of the ball. However, Leno reacted to the header and I don't think he was distracted by Akanji, he was just slow to get down. - Or perhaps it was a bloody good header, but why praise Ake?
We need VAR officials to explain their decisions for subjective calls such as interfering with play and red card incidents. I know they often appear to get things wrong, hence the apologies, but at least they are qualified refs unlike Marco Silva and the vast majority of pundits.
There’s loads of qualified refs where I sit, apparently.

Well apparently running towards the ball isnt intefering with play and i also disagree with the fact that it changed the course of the game 2, it was just be4 half time, they could have come out fired up, annoyed by the injustice of it, jesus if we went to pieces every time a dodgy decision was given against us, we'd have been relegated (AND BE IN THE NATIONAL LEAGUE BY NOW)
Fixed for you

the law in any form is at best an ass and most people would agree that the way it is interpreted is wrong, not all contact is a penalty, someones toe being offside while correct goes against the spirit of enjoyment of the game, not blowing up when someone is clearly 2 yards offside is a joke you could go on and on, the fact is their is only outrage when the way the laws are interpreted benefit city, there was palpably less outrage when the ways the laws were interpreted benefited utd, liverpool this season and arsenal multiple times less season and there was no headlines making mention of those decisions , there was no headline saying man utd comeback against forest aided by contentious penalty and sending off, there was no headline saying 10 men liverpool rally to beat newcastle but should they have been down to 9, so lets have it right it aint the laws its the way they are interpreted and that they dont like it when they arent interpreted in a way which helps those in red.

Did Bobb and Lewis come on at the same time? My stream froze and it looked like Bobb came on alone, which would mean we used 4 substitution windows when you’re only allowed 3. The PL app says they both came on in the 90th minute so maybe I just missed Lewis coming on.
Yeah, they did mate

Yes I think the first half was slow and quite ugly, but got that job done very nicely in the second.

The Ake goal should have been disallowed in my own little world about what football is, but that's just me, and it's been done to death, so on we go.

Bobb, Lewis, Gomez
For what it's worth, I think the mistake is quite telling as it's gone under the radar that Gomez had as good an under-21s as Palmer playing as a winger. The minutes he got yesterday in an advanced role to me suggests that City think he can play the role that maybe Palmer might have done if he'd stayed.

But god speed on having another five people point out your mistake lol
