If we had a fit Rodri, KDB and Oscar Bobb then non of it would be an issue?
Yeh if no one gets injured ever, we will be fine. 2nd season now that we know De Bruyne is injury prone, you say it like his injury is some sort of surprise. Rodri, yeah okay no one would of predicted the severity but I feel a lot predicated an injury at some point. I’m excited for Bobb but I feel people are massively overrating him at the minute, our best player in pre season definitely but come on he’s not really proved anything to say “if bobb wasn’t injured we would be fine”.

disappointed to not see nunes today. he must be confident after a great goal in the cup, and another game in midweek.

more worrying for me is bernardo. i dont know where he fits in the team, very ineffective wide right and we need some legs in the centre.

Gundog is a write off in central midfield. hes looking like Casemeiro.
I thought bernado had a decent 2nd half

KdB is at the end of his career and its showing, Bobb is at the start and who knows if he will fulfill his early promise. Rodri was exhausted from late March last year and was still recovering pre injury..
Our transfer business was like when the White Star Line said we think you'll be ok with these few lifeboats.

We had nearly double the shots they did. Maybe it’s our finishing, eh?
We were lucky today. I haven't seen a team outplay us for periods of a game at the Etihad in a long time. If Traore was competent 1 on 1 we would have lost. Well done to Eddie though. They bi-passed us in midfield with ease and played intricate passes to score twice from dead in front of goal. They are a good team for sure. At the moment we are not playing like the best team in the world. Hopefully Kev and Nathan can make a difference.

Tough watch, really never enjoyed it and we are lucky to have taken all 3 points. Our team has greatly regressed due tp lack of investment over the last few transfer windows and sadly can't see us winning anything this season

We rode our luck in the end, fair fucks to Fulham for their performance. 3 points are the main thing, happy days if we keep doing that whilst trying to find our best form.

Midfield system is not quite right (was never going to be an easy fix) and defensively we were saved by Eddie and Josko. We look really vulnerable at the back at the moment.

Pleased for Doku, that was a stunning strike. We need Kev and Phil fully fit and back up to speed as soon as possible.

Love Gundo but don’t think he’s got much more than an hour in his tank these days.

We again spurned a couple of good chances again in the first 10 minutes, take one of them and it puts a different complexion on the game.

Its like this every season. We scrape by and drop some points then January arrives and VROOOOOOM

We can not be perfect every fucking week. We are perfect when it matters and we will be again.

And lay off players who have won the whole world for us. Let say we win shag all this season, so? (We will win though. We will)

Get the KDB bit, Rodri is on a totally different level and him being injured would obviously be a disaster for any team. Personally, I think Oscar Bobb will prove to be a top level player. The team does feel a little stale but I really just can't see that has anything to do with the charges. Maybe that's just wishful thinking.

Phew

Fair play Fulham.

City desperately need 1/2 quality top midfielders.

Rodri not available is very noticeable but Kev not around is also a problem. We don’t seem to have any players ready to step into that role.

Time to fix that in the next window.
Was hoping Foden was the answer without KDB but his progress has stalled and he looks way off the pace, we hear offline off the filed problems and his virus but he's had terrible start to the season which is worrying

A great game. Fulham never gave up and not many teams will beat them. Two teams, Brentford and Fulham who will give any team a good game. Pleased we got 6 points from them because not many will.

3 points is all that matters at this stage, after a busy period and a lot of travelling in the last week + our 2 best players out injured - you just have to do what you can, and give credit to Pep for getting us over the line and well in the race.
If we can tread-water and stay near the top for a couple of months, it's all to play for as the season progresses. Fulham were decent and one of the in-form teams. We rode our luck - as Champions do.
Onwards and upwards.

Our shots-to-goals ratio is poor and has been for some time.
How many times have we seen one shot one goal from the opposition?
They had the more clear-cut chances and didn't finish them, fortunately.
Maybe it is their finishing in that case, eh?

Always greatful for 3 points but that was a tough watch.
Credit Fulham though, they are well coached team.
Not a fan of bernie out wide, and gundog looked every bit his 34 years today.
We're missing the quality of kev and the control of rodders so we know there's gonna be some tough games and iffy performances, sometimes we're just gonna have to grind out results and rely on some luck, especially if haaland doesn't bang in the goals.

We ain't half lacking some pace in midfield though, hopefully this gets sorted next summer.

Anyway, up the Blues!
