Around 81 or 82 at home to Brighton, who had ex-rag Mickey Thomas playing for them. It had emerged in the papers that Mrs Thomas had had an extra-marital. Cue merciless chant of:

Thomas's wife, Thomas's wife!

Needless to say poor old Mickey had a mare and City pissed it 4-0.

The Friday night game on TV against Chelsea...

I heard a beauty today watching the Tyne Wear derby in Sunderland city centre. Went like this..........

To the tune of "the lion sleeps tonight"

On the way home though i thought we could nick it. Just change Keeper to Captain and Simon Mignolet to Vincent Kompany. Just a thought ;)

But City never, ever sang the two Andy Gorams song. He had been playing in Scotland for years by the time that one came out, and it was sung by his own Rangers fans I think

I'm pretty sure he was playing (or was about to play for) Sheffield United when we played them in 1998. Sadly I can't confirm it.
