Funny stats to upset United fans

They are the 2nd most successful club in English football, so surely that must mean there have been years of years of successful managers.

Fact one - only 3 United managers have won the English league title. City’s last three managers have achieved that.

Fact two - Their third most successful manager is Jose Mourinho.
Small technical note: our last three managers, Pep, Pellegrini......Kidd.

I was a lad of 8 at the time but the memory of it has stuck with me. I come from a family of Blues and I well remember how it affected my Mum & Dad and my elder brother. Also, our neighbours. There was sadness all around and I don't believe for one minute that anyone cheered the news. I agree with you, that story was BS.

The poster mentioned it was at school that got cheers at the crash.

We all know kids are tw@s...

Tevez was worth every penny, and while they tell me about his exit, i remind them that Rooney was at the Nike sport and drugs rehabilitation centre, at the time without an injury.

I was saying about Foden winning the amount of premier leagues he’s got at his age to rag mates and they came back with “ it’s a false stat, how many appearances did he make in his first one and we’d have won it without him “ I replied “ when you’re waxing lyrical about Giggs and how many PLs he won do you include the one he made 12 appearances and would you have won it without him ? “
The silence and awkward looks on their faces was a special moment :)

One that i like to use though i am not sure of is, City are the only team to have won the PL without earning a point through penalties.
Probably the year that Villa went down, we got a penalty against them for handball, replays show that while he tried to handball it, he missed, up until then and that was late in the season, all were second or third goals.

Since Pep arrived we have:

Amassed 136 more points than them
Won 57 more league games than them
Scored 218 more league goals than them
Won 5 Premier League titles, they've won 0
Won 2 FA Cups, they've won 0
Won 4 league cups, they've won 2
Won a Champions League, they've struggled to even qualify half the time
Equalled their 2 biggest achievements - 3 titles in a row and the treble (beating them in the FA Cup final en route)

It's not been an easy 7 years for United fans.

And in 16/17. As well as the FA Cup in 16 and they lost the FA Cup Final to Chelsea in 18.

Not much of a stat that one

Slagging off the enigma that is Paul Scholes is a sure fire way of getting their hackles up.
I don't know what it is but they see him as some sort of demi god and one of the best to ever play the game.

His prem career average goals are shocking, something like 4 or 5 goals a season, his assists even worse, he finished his career on the same amount of assists as the great Danny Murphy , even Raheem Sterling currently has more assists than Scholes had in his career.
Scholes has licked his daughters toes more than any City players past or present

Thankfully, it's not been an easy last 10 years for the Trafford Termites.
City have dominated them in most areas, especially their infamous Youth system.
Can remember Brian Kidd scouting around Manchester park pitches looking for (and in fairness, usually signing) the best local junior talent.
We are now light years ahead of them...

always found them biting whenever i say Scholes was overrated, soon as you tell them that he played more games than Gerrard and Lampard but never scored or assisted as many as them and the fact he couldn't tackle really gets to them
