Ferran Torres looks great. But he's a right winger. I want someone who can play on the left because Sterling seems to have run out of ideas on the left flank. Everyone knows Sterling can only cut in, which means he's always forced to run in a straight line and pass with his weaker foot

We need young, hungry players who are desperate to develop under Pep, not someone like Neymar.

He'll never be able to shake off the narrative and misconceptions around him just like we'll probably forever be labelled a 'dirty oil money club etc...' but like him or not,Neymar,on the pitch,is a gamechanger and a top 5 player in the world and top 3 this season and elevates us to another level.
Okay,of young players,Mbappe takes us to another level but his future is elsewhere
None of the young wingers we've been linked with scream Leroy potential even at the age we signed him...most are underwhelming and a distance from our highest level and impacting the team

A fan of Ferran but he's a RW heavily reliant on his right foot and dont think he can be as comfortable on the left side..
Leroy's skillset is unique and no other player in football can offer us what he does in terms of being left footed and comfortable on the left side to offer us width..We'll just have to tweak things with his replacement since only probably Mbappe can offer us close to what Leroy does..Sancho & Neymar could too and the list ends there.With the manner in which we do business and the the finances involved,which dont think we'll want to be involved ,none of them will be coming here

Not really young and he's very injury prone, but I think Douglas Costa could offer what Sané offers. He's very quick and left footed just like Sané and even more technical. His stock has fallen big time due to injury problems, and he's not prefered by Sarri. We could probably get him on a cut deal and spend big on other positions like CB

An alternative could be to get Coman or Sarr who are the right wing equivalent of Sané and let Sterling score tap in's from the left instead

Neymar doesn't offer the skillset I think we require, however brilliant he is as an individual talent.

To bring the best out of our strikers, right wingers, midfielders and defenders we need someone who is willing to; hug the touchline, run in behind defences, provide a constant supply of crosses, score tap-ins at the back post, press with intensity/aggression and more than anything be a good character in the dressing room.
