Gabriel Jesus back in training (page 77)

So, we're non the wiser?

Appears we're doomed.
The 19 year old lad may never play again, as once a 5th metatarsal is broken he may as well amputate.

Let's get some context. If it's even remotely true, it's likely a couple of months out for a player many of us regarded as mainly for next season.
We have the league's best striker to bring in.
Sané & Sterling on fire.
Silva and De Bruyne are on pomp and we have no defensive worries in terms of injury.
Fernandinho looked back to his best last night and YaYa is like a new signing.

Whilst he was fucking exciting. E'll be exciting again and hopefully return and bring a spark back for the season end. That's if it's even true.

Seems an awful lot of medical action, and advise and decisions in a very short period of time.

Bit more info dripping out of Brazil. According to Denilson who's spoken to Jesus's brother - the docs gave Jesus two options. Physiotherapy - he'd have been out for a month but there was a risk of the injury returning. The other option was surgery, which is what he's taken. It'll mean a longer recovery period, but obviously it also means that it's unlikely the injury will return.

More scandalous bad luck for City either way if he has broken something, and my first thought last night was some sort of stress fracture.

Probably best to go for the more reliable permanent solution but losing him for any amount of time harms our season's chances, IMO. Hardly the end of the world to have to rely on Sergio but he needs to stay fit.
