Arsenal fans were just fickle. Clichy was unbelievable in his younger days picking up a place in the PFA Team of the year in 07/08 playing all 38 games for Arsenal as a 21 year old. Arsenal then began to slowly turn less and less organised after the invincibles and therefore defenders were often found wanting in situations they wouldn't really face in an organised team. It's no surprise you stick him in our side and he's instantly a top class left back.

What a bargain, and a genuinely nice guy.

Most arsenal fans was telling me he can get down the wings and cross but is Shit in defence? The guy works so for his team and can defend well. His work rate coming into last 7 games was there for us all to see. Great buy from mancini and loved watching him on os clips :-) keep watching can't help

City have an LB for the foreseeable future with Clichy. Thank you Arsenal, you basically dropped him into our laps for that price. What a player.
