The fact he was there caused mayhem,Zaba obviously had no confidence in him and Lescott is poor without Kompany.

Fucking priceless, know getting blamed for other people's fuck ups

Zaba was fucking awful... but all the bell's blame Garcia and Lescott...

Zab is an average premiership defender who because of his 100% effort he gets the same acclaim as another previous fans favourite, Dickov, who was also a very average player.
He has never been able to pass a ball to a high standard and regularly gets caught out of position, although I do admit that he has improved going forward this last 12 months. But to be honest, he couldn't have got any worse.
Sundays game was just the first time these 'zabba tinted glass wearing fans' actually took them off to see his woeful positioning and general play.

I wish we'd just lay off the guy. He's still not done anything particularly badly, not made any huge costly errors or done anything unprofessional.

He's not a world beater, oh well. He hasn't completely regressed unlike one of our players or just continually chosen not to fill half his role like another.

Put him next to a mobile midfielder in DM and he's fine. You wouldn't think that'd be hard to do.

The single most pathetic thing about Bluemoon is all the cheap shots a completely inoffensive guy takes to make posters look cool and witty.

What are the actual legitimate grievances? He's slow. Yeah he is. He cost too much money? Yeah he did. That's football.

Rather than singling out your whipping boy and calling out his "fans" (pretty sure we're all meant to be fans of the club) why not just accept he's an admittedly limited but not catastrophic squad player who is not too old and not on wages that are too high?

It's scary to go into a game without a scapegoat. What do you do after you lose if you don't have a scapegoat? Madness and chaos.

... plus if we can obsess over the limitations of our 5th choice CM we can ignore the glaring flaws in a lot of our starting XI players.

Jesus fucking christ there is a reason why he got the POTY award last season. The reason why Clichy and Zaba don't get much stick on here is because they are usually pretty good while Garcia, Kolarov etc are usually wank.

They both let us down in the Champions League but we had a manager to take the blame. They both let us down against Cardiff and it isn't the first time. There are two types of criticism: warranted and unwarranted. There's an awful lot of unwarranted criticism, but quite often warranted criticism gets shouted down as unwarranted. Clichy's crossing for example is something that should be a topic for discussion. Every single time it's brought up though, someone inevitably works themselves instantly into a frothing rage about Kolarov's deficiencies. They are two separate issues. Just like Garcia's issues, which he most certainly has, and our fullbacks' and keeper's performances.

Cheap shots? What about the bell ends tweeting Garcia directly? I had to take issue with one of them. He's not the only one to do it... there are quite a few attention seekers on twitter!

Dzeko is another who gets the personal tweets telling him he's 'fucking wank'..

Some blues need to take a look at themselves

Average enough to be named in the premier league team of the year whilst picking up our POTY honour?
Zabaletta had a bad game by his standards, he was at fault for at least one goal but to say his general play is poor and he has woeful positioning is a load of bollocks.

I would honestly say Zaba's positioning is the worst of our back 4, he's often too far forwards or too narrow but he is helped massively by Milner and Kompany's constant covering. His general play isn't bad though and his commitment and determination are obviously top class.

I think his reading of the game is generally first class, which is why he was the best right-back in the Prem last season without being super fast or especially big. The two corner goals came from him failing to stop the one player he was marking (and probably shouldn't have been marking, at least after the first one). That's a deficiency, but a very specific one that should be avoidable (put someone bigger/better in the air on opposing teams' biggest aerial threats - like Garcia, for example).
