Gareth Bale

If this move is going to happen I think Bale is going to have to push it through himself, looks like another nasri type transfer saga that will drag on for a while.

This move will only happen if Levvy wants it too happen fook all Bale can do about it Modric tried to push his through last season did not work

The best hope is that a new manager decides it better to cash in on unhappy player(s) and have al decent transfer kitty rather than hold them

The only reason the Modric transfer didn't work was because Modric got on with it had his performances dropped Levy would have tried selling as soon as possible before his value would have gone down. Seems players have to kick up a fuss to leave like Ben Arfa and Ba did.

I don't think Spurs would give into that remember how croatian left footer Luke Modric tried to push a move to Chelsea

No, it won't.

Get over it. Spuds are a small time club with a small time mentality. They will lose Bale and Modric before the start of the premier league, beacause they deserve better. Big time players playing for a small time club.
Prick, go and support the fucling rags if you want to spout this sort of shit
You win, your keyboard is harder than mine and your the biggest bestest supporter in the land. Theres me thinking we live in a democracy. Her side of the family are all spurs fans and the shit they gave me when they beat us to 4th spot a couple of years ago made me dipsise the club on a level To the rags. Even on the last day of this season they were willing united to win the league. Hate the cunts with a passion and no forum policeman will change that.

A top manager could indeed reinvest the funds they would get for Bale and Modric (possibly VDV too) and build a fantastic team... there are so many great bargains out there right now! Marvin Martin just moved to Lille for £8million and is a super player who is good enough for a top 6 English team I reckon.

Exactly, imagine Graham Carr with say £75 million, well Pardew
People get giddy over Carr because he has hit it lucky just lately with a few deals from France.
They forget that during his time here, he was one of the ace scouting team who persuaded Pearce to sign Samaras, Corradi, Dabo, Trabelsi etc

When you've got next to no money to spend you're always going to have a higher percentage of failures. £6m for the four of those you mentioned. We got Hart at the same time and he's worth 2-3 times that.

Hitting it lucky is right when it comes to Graham Carr. Although Corradi was purely down to Pearce, Carr advised against it, he was also responsible for Jo, Castillo, Sommeil, Sibierski and Tarnat. The way he is now described as some sort of footballing alchemist is just unbelievable.

We sacked Carr in December 08...so who were Kompany and Zabaleta spotted by? Clueless or Carr?

Agreed, fingers crossed Moyes gets the job, then if the lad has any sense at all he will be out the door rather than be one of the 10 behind the ball....

Exactly no one went for Ben Arfa because of attitude problems and Santon, Ba because of Injury concerns. Never heard of Tiote though they got him for 1m he did play for league champions in Holland but that's probably because of the dutch league not being considered that good. You would have thought Liverpool would have gone for Cisse because he had good stats playing in a strong league.

At least Siberski was good in the air.

But Newcastle took the risk and it paid off.

Credit to Carr for that. They have bought well recently.

Re: Bale. I think he is just the type of playeryou need. I also think you could do with some more guile in centre midfield, for when Yaya is missing. Maybe a Sniejder type player or Modric.
