Gareth Bale

I don't understand why people think we couldn't have Silva, Nasri and Bale. I very much doubt that all three will play at once but with injuries, suspensions and general rotation to stop players getting tired we could accomodate all three in the squad. Silva looked absolutely dead on his feet for a couple of months in the middle of last season, despite going out in the group stages of the Champions League and the 3rd round of the FA Cup. With more games we need more quality players.
Whilst I agree with your sentiment. Silva did play 4 games in the Europa which is akin to getting to the 1/4 finals of the CL in terms of games played plus we got to the semi of the CC.

I agree with you though, we need to be able to rest him without overly weakening the team.

OK we need to rest him. But neither he, Sami nor Bale would like being rested for big games. What we need is a younger version of Silva to fill in occasionally.

Every team in Europe is scouting for this type of player and we have a very raw version in Suarez. But truthfully we need a different option to Silva/Nasri. I don't think 4-2-2-2 is the future at the European level. Bale would likely play in exchange for a striker in most bug matches. It's the matches verse sides like QPR where we could afford to rest one of the 3.

I find it staggering that people haven't grasped this concept yet, after all this time, yet some still haven't & perhaps never will.

re Silva:-

That'll be Denis Suarez next season, hopefully.
As for Bale, sign him.

We only play 4-2-2-2 on Fifa, not in real life

I thought we played 4-2-3-1 switching to 4-4-2 at times.

No we don't.
Suarez is nothing like Bale,he has neither his pace or directness. He is in the mould of Silva but has a long way to go......

would be a great time to strike with spurs seemingly in disaray??? he would be dynamite at us.
