Not good from bale if true. Aplenty we aren't a top club and money doesn't buy success.
I wouldn't want this diving little gobshite anywhere near my club if he comes out with crap like that
I'll paste it so everyone can read it........
TOTTENHAM ace Gareth Bale insists Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are not on the same level as Europe’s top sides.
The Welshman, who could be targeted by the elite clubs on the continent this summer, rates Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich above the two mega-rich outfits.
Spurs’ flyer Bale has bagged 21 goals this season to put Andre Villas-Boas' men on the brink of Champions League qualification.
But even if Tottenham cash in on their most prized assett in the next transfer window, the player is clearly looking for more than money.
The 23-year-old told French TV: “PSG are a great team. They have signed great players. They’re a team to follow, a bit like Manchester City.
“But they are still not at the level of great clubs. Not like Bayern, Real or Barcelona."
Bale also revealed that the world's two biggest stars have replaced his footballing idol.
He added: “I grow up as a person and I hope to improve year after year. Ryan Giggs is the hero of my childhood. I watched him play as a kid.
"But today, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are the references.”
Meanwhile former Spurs director Damien Comolli believes Bale is going nowhere in the summer, despite PSG’s interest.
He said “I think that if PSG are aware that the player is on the market, I won’t be surprised that they do everything in their power to sign him.”
“But today, there is a 90 per cent chance that he will stay at Spurs.
"I know the chairman of Spurs and how he works. Only three or four clubs can afford Bale right now.”

-- 10 Mar 2013 14:45 --

Firstly, there is no mention of money buying success and, secondly, what he actually says is true,we are miles away from the big boys yet.
