Gareth Bale

Bale was their catalyst last season they knew they needed a striker they knew they needed a better midfielder and a left back and another centre half vertonghen was a good buy although im not convinced, but they go bargain hunting and hope it hits but u get lucky with a bale once in a lifetime not every season

Spurs will always need just one or two more players. Every season they'll just finish outside the top 4 or just inside it occasionally, and they'll always just need a striker, or a centre half, or a midfielder to win the title. They'll get it and the following season just need a winger, and a left back, etc. That's how clubs like that operate. Just enough investment for hope, never enough to see it through. If Bale wants to win trophies and challenge in Europe consistently he'll have to move, he's not getting it at Spurs.

They have a set amount of dosh with the new tv monies and possibly a sale, its the wage structure that kills them

If they miss out on the CL I'll have a new respect for him if he stays, unless Levy holds him to ransom like Modric. I hope he leaves England if he goes though. He is Spuds only world class player and represents their chances of breaking through. They could reinvest his transfer fee, but I'm not sure it'd be worth it considering how much Bale's done for them.

I have a sneaky and disturbing feeling that he might end up with you lot before the start of next season

this lad has rag stamped all over him,he,l end up at the swamp in a deal like 30 million plus nani and anderson got a bad feeling that will happen as utd wont pay 50 or 60 million id doubt but would offer around 30 mill plus a couple of players

In what world does a transfer occur in which 2 players plus cash go for another player?

I remember one where it was something like 4 players and cash

Bale will pull on the 11 shirt in place of boyhood hero Giggs. Watch & wait. #MUFC20 #accolade

Feasible that he'd move there but smells like a WUM.

He is going to the rags 100%, Ashley Young plus cash.

£25m-£30m payable in installments of £3m a year for a decade in standard rag fashion.

Shortly followed by reports he "snubbed" City despite being offered £750k a week as he isn't motivated by money but "prestige and history", instead opting to fulfill his "boyhood dream" of playing at the swamp on a pitiful £200k a week.

Calling it now.

This^^^^ and the media wankfest will last a couple of years

I'd be devastated and fearful if he ends up at Trafford,he is top quality and perfect 'brand' material.

I can definitely see it happening,he ticks all their boxes with aplomb.

Don't underestimate Levy.

He just wants cash. He won't want Nani or any of United's cats off + cash.

With Levy it's cash or f*** off!

I still think Madrid will make him number one priorty, and that would be an offer hard to turn down.

With Zidane's recent comments I think he is persuading Madrid and leading the way to go all out for him.

If the scum get Bale, expect Madrid to go all out full throttle for Aguero! Something we really do not want to see.
