maybe some will realize what barry is all about after today's game,he is a central midfielder that does a certain job and does it well most games and when asked can move out more left to give the team something different!

After Joe Hart Gareth Barry was my MOTM today.
One little niggle.......... why did we let Nedum go and keep Micah?? Just when I was hoping he was going to get back to using his speed he goes back to his Sunday afternoon stroll in the park!!

i have been quick enough to slate garethbut in fairness to him today ithought he looked in best condition we have seen him in a while and he really looked solid today

Agree with this, thought he was poor today, his job was clear. Stay on the left hand side and offer us an outlet then move inside with the ball but everytime we tried to work it from the right to the left it just broke down because there was no-one there. If we are going to play with 1 winger(which doesnt make sense as we wont be balanced) then Barry cant play as he isnt mobile enough. I dont want Milner as i dont rate him as highly as a lot on here but if it was a choice of him and Barry in the formation we are going to play then its Milner all the time 110%.
I dont think we should get rid of Barry as he will provide good cover but i dont think he is made for this formation. Id rather see him in a 5 man midfield with De Jong, Yaya and then 2 out and out wingers but thats not going to happen with the other players we have available.
