Barry had a decent game today, he certainly doesn't deserve to be singled out.

Oh he's not singled out at all mate. Check it out! He's not great though. Sorry Baz. :(
Football is all about opinions though innit. For my money he is great.

We dont really have player who can tackle in the midfield. Part of the reason is Barry.

Barry is tackling about 1.8 times in average in a league game.
Yaya even less.
Nasri/Silva the same.

For United?
Valencia, Giggs,Scholes, Carrick, Cleverley all have better tackle avarage than our midfielders.

Sandro is a typical def. midfielder in PL.
His numbers are 3.3 tackle/per game, 3.7 interception/game.

For Barry it is 1.8 tackle/game and 1.3 interception /game, 1.8 clearance/game.

It doesnt say much but Barry started 11 league matches and it means 21 tackles and 16 interceptions and 21 clearances.

Sandro started 16 matches in the league and he has 52 tackles he has 59 interceptions and 64 clearances.

He only played 5 matches more(and Barry usually plays 90 minutes when he stars dont know about Sandro) but his stats are two times better or even more for a def. midfielder.

And be sure that Barry has the best tackel/interception and clearance stats out of our midfielders.

He is so alone doing these things for us and he isnt as much as good in them than other top def. midfielders.

Alsdo Sandro is not afraid to go ahead join attacks sometimes. Barry rarely does that and its better if he is not as his pace stops him from getting back fast when it is needed.

Get player Barry don't get me wrong but this type of game was not for him. The was United countered with so much pace with Young and Valencia really didn't help because Barry isn't Usain Bolt.
