It would be foolish to let GazBaz go given his own attributes and experience as well as the injury record of Rodwell, the inconsistency of Garcia and the premiership inexperience of Fernandinho. You know what you get with Barry; a reliable, hardworking player with neat and tidy feet and an ability to read the game better than most of his teammates. Definitely. Lets not forget if all of those are injured Razak is in the background too. I dont think we need that much depth in Pelligrini's system.

We didn't get rid of him. He refused to sign a new contract and signed for Milan.

That's fair enough...loved Nige to bits but as a player, he wasn't close to being as good as some make him out to be.

We didn't have Fernandinho last year though and injuries ravaged Rodwells season. Barry has been one of our best buys since the takeover but we may as well cash in on him now rather than keeping him on the wage bill and letting him go for nothing next season.
