No Europe so no excuses next season.
Win the title a bare minimum.

Sorry but if it is a case of Taylor beating Emma Hayes and Chelsea to the title, I think I can probably guess who the winner will be.No Europe so no excuses next season.

Bang onNot surprised he was given another year. People may disagree but I just don't think we're as committed to the women's team as we were under Cushing. We seem to also have an inability to retain players too.
Talks had been ongoing for a while but then we appointed a new DoF for the Women's team so were put on hold. I'm just glad it's only a 1 year extension, I think that's quite telling in an "improve or else" kind of way. Obviously I'd have preferred we looked elsewhere but just don't know enough about the alternatives that are available right now. Maybe we should have tapped up former England mnager Phil Neville before he decided to help out Canada's national team. ;)Wasn’t this announced months ago
Suddenly, Taylor's contract extension looks a lot more appealing!Talks had been ongoing for a while but then we appointed a new DoF for the Women's team so were put on hold. I think the team has underperformed with him as manager. They are positive on the OS about his win percentage but the matches he lost were the ones that cost. I was reading on the OS that Real and Bayern had the same number of wins as we did but the ones they lost were against us. Much the same with MCWFC - we didn’t beat enough of the better teams and lost too many against the not so good teams. Taylor looked as though he didn’t have the wherewithal to drag a game back.Do you think he's underperformed as the women's team manager?
And God knows how many of those league games we've won saw us stumbling along with dire team performances only to be rescued by individual performances from Bunny Shaw (this season) or Lauren Hemp (last season).I think the team has underperformed with him as manager. They may have, but in my opinion, I think those in charge of the club could not care less about the women's team. We have one to keep the equal rights groups from raising holy hell about not having one.Stupid decision but no more than expected.
Thought the tone of the announcement was interesting, super positive in the snippets like headlines and tweets, then almost grovelling justifications of him having a job in the full announcement on the website. They might have realised how unhappy fans are with how things are going.
To be fair they finished well. They started by losing major players to foreign teamsThe men’s team did brilliantly, the youth teams did brilliantly, the women’s team completely underachieved under Taylor (again) so we give the useless clown a contract extension, fucking wow
The players like Taylor? I doubt it. He’s fucking wankTo be fair they finished well. They started by losing major players to foreign teams
“ Over the summer of 2022, Manchester City saw nine of its high-profile and established players leave: Bardsley, Scott, and Ellen White through retirement; Janine Beckie to Portland Thorns; Karima Benameur Taieb to Marseille; Lucy Bronze and Keira Walsh to Barcelona; Caroline Weir to Real Madrid; and Georgia Stanway to Munich”
We had injuries on top of this. We came back strong & the players seem to like Gareth - as do the club. I trust their judgement.
I didn’t say you liked him. I said the players seem to from what I’ve heard in their interviewsThe players like Taylor? I doubt it. He’s fucking wank
