Sorry but if it is a case of Taylor beating Emma Hayes and Chelsea to the title, I think I can probably guess who the winner will be.

Even if we managed to recruit some truly outstanding players, I strongly suspect that Taylor would fail to utilise them properly based upon his past performances.

Would love to be proved wrong, but doubt that I will be.

Taylor's their perfect yes man, happy to be in the job and won't moan about the way he's told to play and the players he loses/gets.

If they put as much into the playing side as they do with the excellent off field/match day experience then we'd piss it!
 
This is a really poor decision. The team will go backwards again for another 12 months. We were 11 points behind Chelsea in a 22 game season - miles away and I honestly don’t think Taylor has proved he can get the best out of the squad. Prepare for more departures…

Talks had been ongoing for a while but then we appointed a new DoF for the Women's team so were put on hold. I'm just glad it's only a 1 year extension, I think that's quite telling in an "improve or else" kind of way. Obviously I'd have preferred we looked elsewhere but just don't know enough about the alternatives that are available right now. Maybe we should have tapped up former England mnager Phil Neville before he decided to help out Canada's national team. ;)

I think the team has underperformed with him as manager. They are positive on the OS about his win percentage but the matches he lost were the ones that cost. I was reading on the OS that Real and Bayern had the same number of wins as we did but the ones they lost were against us. Much the same with MCWFC - we didn’t beat enough of the better teams and lost too many against the not so good teams. Taylor looked as though he didn’t have the wherewithal to drag a game back.

And God knows how many of those league games we've won saw us stumbling along with dire team performances only to be rescued by individual performances from Bunny Shaw (this season) or Lauren Hemp (last season).

Daft if they genuinely thought that win percentage could be used as a good defence of him.

They may have, but in my opinion, I think those in charge of the club could not care less about the women's team. We have one to keep the equal rights groups from raising holy hell about not having one.

"Look how wonderful our training facilities are, isn't this a nice stadium for the team? We even have a real changing room with hot water showers instead of changing in a caravan."

It's smoke and mirrors. Distract from the poor results and poor coach with the shiny object in the other hand.
 
Weird, rewarding failure isn't something the modern Manchester City usually does.
I wonder if the powers that be at City have given up on the women's game

To be fair they finished well. They started by losing major players to foreign teams

We had injuries on top of this. We came back strong & the players seem to like Gareth - as do the club. I trust their judgement.
