Gareth Taylor

Really. Guess it suits our different agendas

I'm not a fan of Taylor , but the observation wasn't part of an agenda.

The point is that players are hardly likely to publicly criticise their manager if they wish to have a future career with the individual.

Nothing more, nothing less.

You’ve left out the fact that you said:

“The players like Taylor? I doubt it.”
Allow me to comment on that. Watching the women’s team over the last few years I got the distinct impression the players would run through brick walls for Cushing, and that the absolute opposite was true for Gormless Gareth. I respect your opinion, but I really don’t share it

Agree, now the mard arsers have fucked off and the team last season, got the same amount of points as the moaner's favourites, something else will be moaned at. Kennedy, Shaw, Houghton, Coombs, Greenwood and all extended since last summer and Kelly, Hemp and Morgan just before that. Yui, Fowler, Castellanos, Aleixandri and Ouahabi, have all had a year. McIver was a solid signing and Jess Park is back with Blakstad gaining minutes too. Nils Nielsen can overlook transfers and with £400K from Walsh to spend, things are looking up.

I watched most of the women team’s games the last 3 seasons. From what I saw, the clueless coach will UNDERperform again in his 4th season. And it is not his second or third season, it is his 4th. He doesn’t have it, as simple as that. Yet, I will not be surprised that the club will find a justification to extend his contract again for a 5th season. As several here said, they don’t give a crap. The women team is about advertising and public relations, and the clown is the best fit for that because he is a “yes” man. The players who left last season, and most of them were excellent players, left because of him. This season, an excellent player, Raso, already left. I won’t be surprised that more players (including some of the remaining good ones) will leave this year, again because of him. Not only Taylor has a low coaching and footballing IQ, he is biased and dumb when it comes to players selection and management. No women football for me next season. It is frustrating to repeatedly watch some excellent players struggling because of this poor coach.

Khaldoon given him the vote of confidence in his interview.
He's in the last chance saloon I think. And he's only getting this extra year because the planning for last season was undermined by the very late sale of Keira Walsh. Although it was fairly obvious to most of us that she wanted to go join her patner I think the City heirarchy were holding out hope that she'd stay another year to get us through the departure of so many others. But as we don't keep unhappy players we let her go in the end. Will be interesting to see who we bring in over this summer and even more so to compare with the ragettes.

I was quite critical in his early days as he seemed stubborn and that rubbed a lot of the senior players the wrong way - To me the biggest change is that he cottoned on that to be better he needed to utilise and listen to his coaching team more. Goater, Steph and Neilsen have helped him greatly. So fair play to him he seems to have the squad behind him & talks well post games.

We just need to get over the line and not throw this opportunity away - no heavy losses and we should be there - they - inc. Gareth - deserve to bag the title.

I also hope they keep Steph in some sort of capacity as she really connects the players and management.

I had to check if I'd said something where I'd been pissed off with him and, technically, I did. He got MotM in a period of time the women were struggling, so the award caught me by surprise.

I think, generally, I've been perplexed by what he's been doing before the addition of staff and pressure to his tenure, but I think I've been more 'I can see what he's trying to do but he's doing it very poorly' kind of thing.

He may just have a period of dominance now Hayes has fucked up the league for the Chavvies.

He's like a cat with 9 lives...

I agree with you.

I think we both see when and where the improvement came and yes, I think they'll keep Steph as ready to take over after his year or so extension. It will give her the time to learn more of what's needed.
