Check your facts before you start shouting the odds

Everton, Blackburn and QPR have made bids to sign Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha, according to his representative Kia Joorabchian.

The 24-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Sunderland, is not in City manager Roberto Mancini's plans.

"I'm not surprised at this level of interest, because Nedum has proven that he's a very good player," Joorabchian told BBC Sport.

He is his agent in all but name. You're either naive or actually the slimy twat Kia himself

Rather amusingly, I've never conversed with Oliver Holt in my life, on Twitter or elsewhere.

@ollieholtmirror if he goes city bottled it...in reply to ok,heres a prediction! If Garry goes, the football world will join to mourn his passing. We may not see his like again

Theres also some stuff there you sent to Daniel Taylor, who in fairness wasnt as snide as Holt in his coverage of this.

and while I'm at it that little fbloke dick deserves a slap for his licking the presses assholes, constantly at it in the futile hope of getting some itk info.dick.forum is far better without him.

And yes I am sat here fuming over the treatment of Garry Cook.

Well done Thaksin. I wrote something aimed at DD about his arse licking in time of need, but it was a bit strong worded and decided to delete it before i got into any trouble for it.

DD some of your comments on Twitter made me sick to know there are fans like you who, support, a word i will use very loosely with your name in future, the same club as me.

Hope Ollie remembers your Christmas card.

The man who was doing card tricks when city scored at wembley sees fit to comment on my support .

Any luck finding a girlfriend yet?

Re: Big battle for power on the horizon now

We need someone who can inspire and guide the club to build trust and confidence with the growing Asian markets.

I'm afraid that's my best corporate cliche bullshit

-- Fri Sep 09, 2011 5:56 pm --

Gosh, I'm new here, but note to self:

Don't piss of Dave.

Instant sacking it could have been but businesses do things this way nowadays, Cook was invited to fall on his sword and has obliged

I wasn't convinced when he came but fuck me, was I wrong, the club is unrecognisable from what it was before..... you can argue that it has lost its soul but that's the price of progress folks and i'm certainly glad I decided to stay along for the ride

Cook is a bit like SWP, he was part of getting us to this point but will have to settle for a seat in the stands from now on

Good luck to him for the future, there but for the grace of God go I......

Re: Garry Cook resigns

I'm glad he's gone, I'm a City fan, not a Garry Cook fan, he just happened to be associated with the club I support. In his time at City, by all accounts he did great things behind the scenes and sealed some lucrative commercial deals, so he deserves credit for that. However, considering the finances he had at his disposal and the public profile this brought about, I doubt he did anything that another corporate type on a huge salary couldn't have done.

Almost the first thing Cook did was state ''Richard Dunne's name doesn't roll of the tongue in Beijing'' now I know Dunne isn't the most marketable of players, I also know some people don't particularly rate Richard Dunne as a player, but at the time he was the club Captain and deserved more respect from some blow in.

Cook also managed to get on the wrong side of the media, on many occasions. Once they have it in for you there's no way back, they'll twist the knife with every mistake you make. I thought he'd finally learned how to play the media, when last season, despite our success he stayed away from the limelight. If we'd won the FA Cup during the first year of Sheikh Mansour's ownership I have no doubt he'd have been on the microphone Phil Brown style at the homecoming parade.

In terms of his conduct over the emails, I have mixed feelings about it. It was obviously intended as a private joke, he sent it to the wrong person (that can and does happen to anyone) and the Onouha's waiting 11 months to go public on it doesn't sit right with me (*cough* Joorabchin's work) but what I think says a lot about Cook as a man, is that he was prepared to go through the charade of letting City draft in IT techs to search for evidence of hacking when he knew all along he did it and didn't have the backbone to admit it. I don't want people like that involved at City and I hope his replacement is more in the mould of Khaldoon, who goes about his business in an unassuming and dignified manner. With the team we have now, we can let the football do the talking, hopefully we'll choose our new CEO wisely, we won't be short of candidates.

This has nothing to do with Ned what so ever.

Don't be so fucking naive.

You are totally missing the point the reason why Cook got the sack is becuase he lied about an incident that should have been dealt with 11 months ago when he made the gaff.

Correct if I'm wrong but I don't recal Ned holding a gun against Cook's head telling him to make up some cock and bull story about his email being hacked.

When your CEO integrity comes into question then there is no option they have to go simple as. IF Cook had done the right thing and told the truth then this story would have never come out of the woodwork to bite him back.

This David Potts guy was mentioned by the Independent when this first broke earlier in the week, and again in that story this afternoon.
Given the there was already a thread on here during the summer concerning talk about Cook resigning and going to live in America anyway, it seems this guy might have already been the subject of some discreet discussions?
Not sure how I'd feel about Dein or Kenyon.
I still don't think Kenyon is a blue by the way, DD.

Ps welcome back and well done for taking your pre-agreed forfeit like a man, rather than listening to the people who wanted you to break your word

Lets have a poll for potts !!

Poll potts............erm...bad idea !! :(
