This David Potts guy was mentioned by the Independent when this first broke earlier in the week, and again in that story this afternoon.
Given the there was already a thread on here during the summer concerning talk about Cook resigning and going to live in America anyway, it seems this guy might have already been the subject of some discreet discussions?
Not sure how I'd feel about Dein or Kenyon.
I still don't think Kenyon is a blue by the way, DD.

Ps welcome back and well done for taking your pre-agreed forfeit like a man, rather than listening to the people who wanted you to break your word

Lets have a poll for potts !!

Poll potts............erm...bad idea !! :(

Wish I could be like David Potts...

This has nothing to do with Ned what so ever.

Don't be so fucking naive.

You are totally missing the point the reason why Cook got the sack is becuase he lied about an incident that should have been dealt with 11 months ago when he made the gaff.

Correct if I'm wrong but I don't recal Ned holding a gun against Cook's head telling him to make up some cock and bull story about his email being hacked.

When your CEO integrity comes into question then there is no option they have to go simple as. IF Cook had done the right thing and told the truth then this story would have never come out of the woodwork to bite him back.
it is possible that he wasn't aware she had received it and after nearly a year forgot he had even wrote it .

Kia and the media dogs win.

Only this.

Board should not have accepted the resignation.

I disagree. I think he would've been sacked with City asking him to leave with their best wishes. I'm still surprised by the amount of people devastated by his departure. He's not the only Chief Executive in the world. It'd be the same if Mancini left. Unfortunate yet replaceable.

Re: Garry Cook resigns

Garry did a tremendous about for our club. I note that every time he is mentioned tonight in the media it is 'gaffe prone Garry Cook'. The media had it in for him, just as they do Ballotelli.

Both the the Sheikh and Khaldoon will see that Kia doesn't make another cent out of City which is what he was told to his face in November so it is a hollow victory for him really.

The whole situation stinks and I believe that Garry came out with more credit than Dr Onouha or Kia.

Now let's get behind the club and weather the media onslaught.

Believe. Achieve.

FFS - All you lot who are moaning about Nedum and defending Cook are morons.

Cook took the piss out of a woman for the way she described her terminal illness. PR disaster, yet again, as well as callous and childish. That is unacceptable. Instant sacking. End of.

Nedum is an academy product who has been at the club far longer and has significant potential. KIA JOORABCHIAN IS NOT HIS AGENT.

Check the facts before you come on here and talk shite.

Yes you really should shouldn't you?
Everton, Blackburn and QPR have made bids to sign Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha, according to his representative Kia Joorabchian.

I'd say Mancini would be far more difficult to replace.

Why don't some 'get it?'
This isn't about Cooks departure as such, its the fact that the scum press, and those behind it, have driven it.

Cook's actions drove his own departure. Sending a snide e-mail and lying about it afterwards. I still can't believe he's gone!

Re: Garry Cook resigns

Just in from work and was surprised when
i heard the news.whilst he was obviously very able
Cook was not Manchester City.
I trust Mansour and Khaldoon to make the right
appointment for the good of our club.
An unfortunate episode but nothing can
derail the hurtling steam train that is M.C.F.C
