Manchester City are set to make a shocking swoop for ex-Spurs ace Darren Anderton to replace disgraced former CEO Garry Cook at the Etihad.

After the Sun, through the heroic actions of the terrorised and humiliated victim Dr. Onuoha, who selflessly with the blessing of Arsenal goalscoring legend Ian Wright, published the damning report of the bastard **** Cook earlier this week, City have swiftly forced the evil yoghurt goblin Cook to resign and are now hunting for a replacement.

Rumour is some tesco guy is in the running, but we can exclusively reveal that the club's list for the role of "playing the prat" might include Joan Laporta, Peter Kenyon, David Dein and an Anderton, who we presume is Dazza.

Sources close to Dazza say that he is "shocked and surprised" at City's supposed interest but says that "through my close relationship to good ol' Harry I'm sure City will be able to move forward by wheelin' and dealin' and not blowing clubs outta tha' water".

The Sun can also reveal that through their cutting edge journalism on this issue that the Custis brothers have been automatically co-awarded journalists of the year, Ian Wright has been nominated as Sports Personality of the Year and Kia Joorabchian has been given the right to act as a player's agent.

We, as part of News International's squeaky clean and morally superior empire would like to take pride in representing the public and fighting for justice and freedom. We are pleased that for the first time since we rightly told the world that those evil scouse scumbags pissed on their own fans at Hillsborough when the honourable police tried valiantly to protect the public that we can expose the horrid truth about how all other clubs apart from Manchester United and our editor's favourite teams are absolute scum in every way, don't forget Munich! what a tragedy! support the innocent people's club by going to your local store and buying a United shirt now!

Next week we plant drugs on Sergio Aguero and stitch David Silva and Yaya Toure up on rape charges through their disgusting phantom(means that we completely haven't made this up at all)sexual assaults on an innocent labradoodle.

The Sun-representing the morally outraged and braindead since they needed representation.

Cook appointed Hughes and Macintosh had already gone.

Thaksin sold the club and was still had a position of sorts on the board after the second takeover, and so did not do a runner.

Cook had nothing to do with getting the Siekhs what so ever. If memory serves me right there was deal maker some female ex accountant who set the whole deal up. They found us Cook was Franks employee who came with the furniture.

he got the club in the shape to make it attractive
You are joking, it was a complete and utter basket case struggling to even pay the players wages, it was up shit creek without a paddle and Cook was doing a fantastic Peter Ridsdale impersonation!

Feel sorry for garry cook,he helped move city forward under the ownership of shiek mansour,so good luck gary and all the best. Now as for the likes of news international (sun),kia, that woman (i'll refrain from using stronger words) and cnutface wright, enjoy your little victory, your cards are well and truly marked, and this will only make our great owner want to suceed even more, the bluemoon is still rising.....
