Gas & Electricity

now the wholsale price of gas has dropped anyone have any idea of when this will have an impact on our bills
OFGEM has moved to a 3 month timetable now, so the bills from July onwards should fully reflect the wholesale movement.

The level of the next price cap period for April to end June is announced on 27 February, and for July to October the announcement is on 26 May.

I submitted my meter reading and discovered I have overpaid by over a grand. That means BG is earning interest on my money and I'm not. I wonder how much money they are holding of people like me. The whole thing stinks. I live on my own, work from an office and my DD is £327 a month. Feel like I have been done over
That's your fault then. You've done yourself over for not checking how much you're using.

Confused how cheap we’re now paying

Was paying £180 a month last year and been dropping monthly payments each month to now £50

Just done my readings, exactly 2 months apart (12/12/22 - 12/02/23).

I've used:

Gas - 161m3
Electric - 471kwh

I currently pay £185pm direct debit and pay back the £60 British gas pays me from the government grant.

Rough calculations based on formulas I've googled says I should have built up a bit of credit? I'm hoping that's correct cos I've been worried I'll end up owing a load!!
