Gas & Electricity

I just got an estimated bill from Ovo for my mums house. Now bearing in mind she passed away 10 weeks ago and I informed them off this, they have estimated we owe them £600 for that period! If it is more than a third of that I will be amazed.

I am £700 in credit, my mother is £820 in credit, my next door neighbour claims to be £700 in credit, best mate says he is around £550 in credit, Sister in law around £650 in credit.

In short come the end of March the weather should buck up and I can see huge numbers of people having their money tied up, a concern i have is that I have tried to drop my DD on line and I am being advised it is only possible to drop by 10% per month. (to protect me is seems)

Last month was the big bill following the very cold snap in December, my credit dropped by just £20.
I’m £759 in credit, they must have millions tied up, I remember years ago you could ask for it all back, come March and the weather picks up I will be, it’s mine, if they won’t I will cancel my direct debit and they can bill me, obviously using up my reserves first.mWont do anything until I have all my cash from the government first though, by then I could be a grand in credit, that will pay for my loft insulation.

I submitted my meter reading and discovered I have overpaid by over a grand. That means BG is earning interest on my money and I'm not. I wonder how much money they are holding of people like me. The whole thing stinks. I live on my own, work from an office and my DD is £327 a month. Feel like I have been done over
I've just realised a couple of weeks ago that the cunts at Shell having been billing us for estimated gas rather than actual, despite their smart meter usage graphs showing that they've been over billing by about £100 a month for God knows how long!

Naturally they want 21 days to investigate and get back to me, and I'm yet to get a response. Will be back onto them on day 22!

I was £950 in credit at the end of November, and they wanted to increase my monthly payments to £266 a month from December. I read an article recently that said energy companies are holding something like £2Billion in overpayements from customers. I called them up, and nothing could be done to stop the £266 payment, which was £199 after the subsidy, and they put it back to £142 a month, £76 after the subsidy.

My credit has increased still further since then as I'm not using anything like the power they think I am and it's now over £1,000 since my payments in December and January.

I'm like you, I'll be asking for my money back come the spring, and if they want to keep their grubby paws around my money, I'll opt for the pay for what you use choice and whittle it down.

Years ago we had people coming around every 3 months to read the meter and you paid for what you used. I'm more than happy to submit a reading online every month and pay that way by DD if it stops us from financing director bonuses being inflated from billions of pounds of our cash wallowing around in their bank accounts.

Forecast that price cap will drop to £2200 by July

Goes in line with the gas futures I posted a few days ago.

I’m £1400 in credit and expect to see that all but wiped out by my next bill covering Nov/Dec/Jan.
