I did it all last winter and saved a lot , my tv lights up the bedroom , torch for the hall, bathroom and kitchen which i only pass through , did it as an experiment and with such high energy costs and it made a differenceFucking Hell Kaz, have things come to that, walking round your house with a fucking torch ?
I thought only cat burglars did that.
Look hereMy little trusty torch is struggling so brought a twin pack of slightly bigger but still small ones, batteries included , for a tenner or so on amazon , using them in the evenings already and early morning when i get up to feed merlin
My batteries last all winter and like i said i got a double pack of torches with batteries included for fuck all , i used my torch and also unplugged everything when charged , turned off everything with a light on except the tv and sky box , did everything to keep costs down , i did well on my bills , my dd is £24 for both now and was fifty something in the winter . Drop your obsession with my efforts, i have to do it , i am going to be hardest hit this winter so need to be savvy as i am a poor personLook here
I doubt your torches and batteries work out cheaper than led bulbs.
Correct.Look here
I doubt your torches and batteries work out cheaper than led bulbs.
How much clearer can i be about the battery thing , i have stated many times that i found some in the spare room hence why i started using the torch , not brought a single one more for nearly a year, i use the torch for a few mins in the evenings and now long enough to feed merlin in the really early morning , not for hoursCorrect.
Complete false economy buying batteries for a torch.
A 4W LED bulb used for 3 hours a day for a year would cost all of £1.30 in electricity even at todays rates, and would use 4.4KWh.
To get the same energy from batteries would cost many times as much.
Bin off sky that will save you loadsMy batteries last all winter and like i said i got a double pack of torches with batteries included for fuck all , i used my torch and also unplugged everything when charged , turned off everything with a light on except the tv and sky box , did everything to keep costs down , i did well on my bills , my dd is £24 for both now and was fifty something in the winter . I don’t really care how much you use your torch or what you do.How much clearer can i be about the battery thing , i have stated many times that i found some in the spare room hence why i started using the torch , not brought a single one more for nearly a year, i use the torch for a few mins in the evenings and now long enough to feed merlin in the really early morning , not for hours
