That's because you've taken a 26/7 degree drop, was only 20 difference when I got home.I’ve used £67 since Sunday just gas

The cull goes on.Why aren’t we rioting in the streets? Some horror stories on here.
A smart meter AFAIK doesn't instantaneously update. It may have been reacting to the last half hours' usage or so. A kwh of electricity is approx 35p, so that's the equivalent of a 1000w kettle being on for nearly a whole 90 mins by your reckoning. Also when does the daily standing charge appear on the meter, it may have coincided with that showing. Not lying, had no TV, lights, sockets, heating on & my smart metre during boiling moved 45p
True or not people need to be worried these cnts are taking the piss
All my lights are off now, candles, TV, fridge & Internet only on
All internal doors shut to try keep heat in & Christmas l8ghts only 6-8pm
Do another reading after 47 days & see whether trying hard not to use the heating & dave on lights what it actually costs
Just got a feeling no matter how hard you try & save the supliers will still charge you
Does it really matter that it takes 3 days to credit your account, it's not as if they are charging you interestI don't mind paying monthly and the energy company sitting with my money.
What pisses me off though is why does it take octopus 3 days to credit my account after the direct debit has been taken (rhetoric question).
HI S. Trying to understand why electric bills need to be in so much credit. If you don't mate, they will do it for you.
Found that out last week.
It doesn't, but the fact they bang on about how hard done to they are, they can invest the money on a rolling basis earning shit loads at our expense.Does it really matter that it takes 3 days to credit your account, it's not as if they are charging you interest
Harvest the excess gases, warm as toast on the free.Eating beans heated in the microwave to keep warm, lucky i have lots of them
That's not so bad at allJust done a quick calculation over the last 4 days since it’s been freezing to check what we’ve used, 180KWH in gas which is £18.54 so £4.60 a day so roughly £155 a month including standing charge
Speaking personally it's because they work out your average for the year from previous readings and then divide by 12.Why do people think they won’t pay more over winter on a fixed rate?
Your unit rate is fixed not your consumption.
Use more gas and electricity, like now, and you’ll pay more.
Yeh was surprised how low it was it’s a 3 bed house and have the heating on for about an hour in the morning and 4ish at night we do have a brand new heating system and double glazing windows tho much which will helpThat's not so bad at all
Are you with edf ? I wish they would go back to quarterly bills , easy to budgetHad to have the heating on quite a bit over the past week or so. One of the little ones has tonsillitis and the other a chest infection. Can't have them cold.
I'll have to just worry about it when my next biannual statement comes through
