Mainly at Ajax and real to be honest mancio! Lived and worked in holland and Madrid respectively during those periods when those 2 teams were my local teams!! Not as much since he went to inter granted but also enough on tv during championships and champions league to know he's quality!!!

i agree he is "quality". unfortunally he isn't "quantity" too ;)

Mancini will rotate and everyone will get their fair share of games and rest.

i wasnt talking of rotation and resting mate , i was just saying that sneijder is the classic "highlights" player .

if you watch only the highlights then sneijder will seem a hero , if you watch the entire games often you'll seen nothing other

is that why your not a fan mancio??? Players can't be outstanding every single game!! Silva, yaya, tevez all had bad matches or bad periods last season but when we needed them they delivered!! I class sneijder in that category mate.

Most top stars are the same though mate. Silva, Yaya, Sneijder are the type of players that just create that moment of magic that invariably wins you games.

League title are won in midfield for me and you just have to have quality in there to be successful over the long course of a season. Many will question how we could keep everyone happy but success in all our competitions probably means upwards of 70 games and players know that rotation is necessary. We also lose Yaya in December to the ACN.

He is a world star on and off the pitch and for me its a no brainer to get the lad in if we can.

and here is where we have to agree to disagree ;)

sneijder doesnt have half of that players workrate , not even half.

i know mancini accept a low workrate from the strikers , not from the midfielders , and that is the reason i dont think he love sneijder.

well i'm thinking we are not really that interested in wes.
i think our club is being clever with spin.
make it look like we are on the verge of signing wesley.
baconface gets into a panic and urges his board to stump up the asking price.
inter then get the cash they need to pay for carlos so that we dont HAVE TO accept loan deals or player swaps.

wenger meanwhile is thinking, "hang on a minute" if city really are in for wesley then arsenal could miss out on the money we were going to pay for nasri thus softening his stance and selling us the player we REALLY are after.

Not a bad theory mate but the bottom line is the rags don't have the the funds for sneijder!!! 4-5 year contract at £200,000 plus a week is way out of their range.

throw in the Christian Eriksen story that came out yesterday as well and it looks like somebody is playing games somewhere to get things moving?

Ok, Nasri, Silva, Yaya Toure Sneijder, Balo, Dzeko, Aguero, maybe Tevez and another imminent signing.

These are all players who are pretty much first team players in any squad they're bought into. Are you telling me we can accomodate all of them?

Even Real Madrid couldn't manage that....

Tevez will surely go, and it'll be either one or the other of Nasri and Sneijder.

Looking more like Eto'o plus cash for Tevez Inter swap. And Nasri to us for 22m.......the Sneijder crap seems to be a false dawn attempt to force United's hand to me.

There's two problems that I see with this scenario.

Firstly, why would a paper that is currently in a war of words with the Inter President go out of their way to help him, at the cost of their own worldwide reputation?

Secondly, if you were trying to force somebody's hand, saying that the deal is done is pretty poor way of doing it. It would be much more realistic to say "City in Sneijder bid" which would leave the door open. Gazzetta, MediaSet and others have this as a nailed on deal.

SSN still think united will be signing him this next week
