This is amongst the most twattish things Farage has done.

I have a good mate who is an RNLI volunteer, he mainly fixes the boats in his spare time but he can also get called out if need be. The last time I spoke to him about it I don't think anti-woke issues were high on the RNLI agenda, especially for a charity that gets bollock all from the government or people like Farage.

Whilst Farage battles for air time purely so that he can count his money, some people are out there saving people irrespective of who the people they are saving are. What he really couldn't fathom and the amazing bit is they do it for free.

At least the good thing is this will help the RNLI coffers, I've donated £20.

I’ve just made a donation. It’s reminded me that my mum used to collect for the RNLI in the 1970s so I’ve made the donation in her memory and her name will go on the side of their next lifeboat.

Good on you - I lived in Manchester for my first 33 years then I moved about - Dorset coast and Hampshire coast and now N. Yorks coast. Living in Bournemouth and visiting Poole a lot - great piss up to be had on Poole quay - I met loads of lads and lasses who worked at the RNLI HQ and volunteers were on courses there from stations around the UK. I have known leisure sailors and fishermen - all of them value the work of the RNLI. A good friend of mine who sailed out of Christchurch had an onboard fire and he and 3 others had to abandon ship. They were wearing life jackets and were so grateful for the speed of the RNLI attending. And don't forget most beach lifeguards are RNLI.

I make a monthly donation to them and whenever there's a charity box by the till I tell the person to put the change in it. The RNLI have a massive history to be proud of - it IS humanitarian work and anyone dissing them is beyond contempt - Farage - and Neil for allowing this - are both twats

I have been a long time supporter of the RNLI, I was fascinated by the heroics as a kid and their exploits through both World Wars are noteworthy including taking part in the Dunkirk fiasco.

To see a **** like Farage disparage these volunteers as an immigrant taxi service is one of the worst statements the man has ever uttered and he has uttered some real shite over the years.

Is it really patriotic to slag off people who save lives whilst putting their own lives at risk. Is that what patriotism really is, the lowlife **** wants shooting after he is decapitated. he is a fucking stain on this country, I really do despise the ****.

And i will also be donating to the RNLI once again.

It's a sad state of affairs in the UK that millions still hang on his every word. Until we can educate and produce a new tolerant generation to replace the small minded twuntish part of our population who don't realise that the likes of Farage will always keep them in their little place, and thrive off the back of their ignorance, we are stuck in this bloody cycle. Whatever happened to 'education, education, education'? It's the key - and better opposition leadership.
