Maybe not the best place to comment on this but the board of Royal Mail's owners are recommending a £5bn takeover by a Czech billionaire.
The final nail in the privatisation coffin, selling another one of our assets that the graft of successive generations have built.
It doesn't matter if RM is good bad or indifferent or is ultimately responsible for the Horizon fiasco.
Handing over a near-monopoly that will be a cashcow with little guarantee of service levels is boiling my piss.
BBC News - Royal Mail owners to back £5bn takeover offer
RM won't be responsible for Horizon. That's Post Office Limited.

Post Office privatised - British Telecom, then Royal Mail hived off.

It's all gone so well.

New policy to help those on state pension is, of course, Labours fault as Labour must’ve dropped pensions since 2010. Then they stopped increases in tax allowance which led to pensioners hitting the tax threshold. Now, they want to change thresholds for our pensioners, giving pensioners extra money that Labour wouldn’t have given them, even though they didn’t know about it.

Even newer policy, attack uni degree costs.

Just remind me, how long have they had to sort these issues?

I know longer listen to this shit, why they cannot just fuck off to pick-up their ill-gotten gains, I’ll never know.

Labour are currently Evens to get 400 seats or above.
Tories are 4/6 to get between 50 and 150 seats.
Yeah. I'm guessing that some tory arseholes will start to panic at the last minute and fearing annihilation they change their minds from not bothering and crawl out of the woodwork to vote as they always do.

I'm also led to believe that whenever a party starts with a big lead there is always a tightening. However this feels different. I sense people just don't give a shit and so I don't know and am playing safe.

with 5 weeks to go until election day there will likely be more new 18 year old voters whilst more than that sum of pensioners will have died. Sunaks team are aiming at a smaller target day by day

And in 5 weeks more people will be pensioners too surely? No idea which is more. Just a shame we all get played off against each other.

Their assault on the young at the expense of doting on pensioners continues - they are determined to get the youth vote out to vote AGAINST them

This Conservative campaign platform is like an Advent Calendar made up of the broken dreams of the young.

Thursday’s policy “confiscate all the Pokémon cards”.

Cunts going after Rayner after being cleared is just another cunts trick for cunts to latch on to.

Would be great to see her next to Starmer in control of this country, she needs your support.

It never was part of their remit and everyone knew that was the case - you don't submit your tax return to the Police , so why did they allow themselves to be used this way?

The Police & Crime Commissioner should be holding the Chief Constable of GMP accountable for allowing the force to be used politically like this, and for wasting resources on something they now acknowledge after all this time is not in their jurisdiction.

That role is part of the Mayor of Greater Manchester's powers, so why have we not heard anything from Andy Burnham?

He needs to haul the Chief Constable over the coal for allowing this, it's an absolute scandal.

I don't live in Greater Manchester but would suggest anyone who feels this has been a stitch up to contact him and see if he is planning on having words with the Chief Constable.
