I was just going to check what those numbers were, but thought, they kept my polling card. What is to stop them registering a vote in my name. If the result in my constituency is a 1 vote win, i will petition the electoral commission to rerun the election.

You aren't legally obliged to show your polling card, so I am not sure why they have kept it. I never take mine and when asked to show it, I always mention that they have no right to ask for it. I have never had an argument.
