Ok, cheers. FWIW, I agree with both those points. The spending plans looked fantastic on paper and if it was 30 years ago, I might’ve fallen for it, but Corbyn buttering up to the IRA was a huge red flag for me too. His handling of the anti-Semitism issue turned me away from him as well. Thing is, I couldn’t vote Tory this time round either - they have similar issues with Islamophobia in their party and I thought Johnson’s decision to prorogue parliament was bang out of order. That was baffling as I don’t think he even needed to do it anyway to get his Brexit deal through. The Lib Dems have been my safe haven in the previous 2 elections but Swinson saying she’d just cancel Brexit even without putting it to a 2nd referendum turned me away from them, and Farage wants us out without a deal which isn’t the type of Brexit I want. In the end, I turned up at the polling station, briefly thought about voting Green for all of about 3 seconds, and did what I said I was going to do for months and that was to scrawl NONE across the ballot paper.

I think the result could be a blessing in a way. While Johnson’s large majority can be dangerous on the one hand, it should mean he’s not as reliant on the far-right within his party, plus there’s little appetite for far left politics in this country so hopefully we’ll see Labour move towards the centre-left and if they can get a competent leader with minimal baggage then they should be in a position to pounce on any Tory fuck-ups.
Exactly the same experience & feelings

labour supporters are toxic and hatred spreading? Perhaps you should have a look at tommy Robinson, katie Hopkins (who are delighted with the results) and Boris Johnson himself!
Ehem.

Tommy Robinson, Katie Hopkins and their ilk are vile, nasty, hate-spreading racists who despise people who don't have the same opinions as them.
Momentum supporters and their ilk, are vile, nasty, hate-spreading bigots who despise people who don't have the same opinions as them.

I agree with both sentiments. You appear to only agree with the former. So there's your whataboutery destroyed, I think they're all equally cuntish.

Your move.

Apologies I misread it as simply labour supporters.

Carry on proclaiming that Labour lost because the electorate have been conned by the media.

Carry on and we won't see a Labour government for a generation.
So we should hide the truth because it won't make us popular?

What happened yesterday was that Brexit split the traditional political alliances and attachments. It's overridden where people are on the political spectrum.
Correct and a lot who are remainers voted on principle to leave.
You're still stuck with the result though for at least 5 years it seems.
