It's the only way that tactic would work, but it's shithousery of previously unimaginable proportions if that's the way they go.

Not sure they would do that. Morally I’m sure they wouldn’t give a shit, but it sends a bad message to any moderate Tory voters prior to an election. Much easier for them to do a deal after the GE, which I can see happening

If the bxp stand only in "labour leave" seats how does that work unless the Tories don't field a candidate or don't campaign? They'd still split the leave vote. And split the Tory members in those constituencies who didn't put Johnson in no.10 in order to infiltrate another right wing party into their patch.
Absolutely no possibility that the Tories won’t put up a candidate in every seat (N.Ireland excepted). They might put up some muppets (they don’t have a choice looking at many of their candidates) but they will not stand down in any seats.
If the opposition parties really did feel that a Tory government was the worst outcome, they could easily be selective about where they stood and wipe them out. They won’t......

Show respect by all means. My point is simply that action speaks louder than words or symbols.

Agreed.... but also agree that the Tories (once again) have failed .... we still have Grenfel families without permanent accommodation , and Hospitals , Schools and Office blocks still covered in cladding all because of arguing 'whose responsible' for the cost.

I genuinely believe that the Conservatives cannot implement a policy unless it's designed to hurt , maim or kill something.

If Grenfel was an opportunity to bring back fox hunting you can bet your bottom dollar it would have been law by now.

It definitely means some working class northerners and midlanders can hold their nose and cast a proxy vote for the Tories, without breaking some relic of a vow they made about never voting Conservative.

I think the tactic is sound, but I think the youth vote will play a big role too. Lots to play for imo.
So in a 70% leave constituency the only choice would be between the sitting labour MP with a policy of another referendum plus lots of policies that would otherwise appeal, and a party with only one policy led by a fascist supporter who would then get in bed with Johnson to inflict five more years of austerity.

It doesn't sound sound to me.

Hung parliament, maybe an alliance between Cons and BXP, if these headlines about BXP standing in pro-leave areas returns them about 10-20 seats off Labour.

Agree with your last statement, purely on the basis that Labour seemingly isn't winning any (enough) Conservative voters over at present, and they'll need them to win a majority.
Even money on Brexit party getting 1 seat 4/5 none.

I'll be going brexit and wash in bleach afterwards, Oldham is a Labour as it gets but are not on my radar as a remain/second referendum party to me. The last few elections I've just spoiled my paper with 'PAB ZAB' to be honest I'll probably just to that again as a protest vote in the end.

Empathy’s not your strong point, Vic.
