do fear Corbyn. I don't remotely expect him to win a GE or to ever become PM. But the prospect that it could even conceivably happen, is terrifying.

Stand up, damned of the Earth
Stand up, prisoners of starvation
Reason thunders in its volcano
This is the eruption of the end.
Of the past let us make a clean slate
Enslaved masses, stand up, stand up.
The world is about to change its foundation
We are nothing, let us be all.

Chorus
This is the final struggle
Let us group together, and tomorrow
The Internationale
Will be the human race.

There are no supreme saviours
Neither God, nor Caesar, nor tribune.
Producers, let us save ourselves,
Decree the common salvation.
So that the thief expires,
So that the spirit be pulled from its prison,
Let us fan our forge ourselves
Strike the iron while it is hot.

Chorus

The State oppresses and the law cheats.
Tax bleeds the unfortunate.
No duty is imposed on the rich;
The rights of the poor is an empty phrase.
Enough languishing in custody!
Equality wants other laws:
No rights without duties, she says,
Equally, no duties without rights.

Chorus

Hideous in their apotheosis
The kings of the mine and of the rail.
Have they ever done anything other
Than steal work?
Inside the safeboxes of the gang,
What work had created melted.
By ordering that they give it back,
The people want only their due.

Chorus

The kings made us drunk with fumes,
Peace among us, war to the tyrants!
Let the armies go on strike,
Stocks in the air, and break ranks.
If they insist, these cannibals
On making heroes of us,
They will know soon that our bullets
Are for our own generals.

Chorus

Workers, peasants, we are
The great party of labourers.
The earth belongs only to men;
The idle will go to reside elsewhere.
How much of our flesh have they consumed?
But if these ravens, these vultures
Disappear one of these days,
The sun will still shine forever.

Chorus

I understand your desperation to see a Labour win. It's almost matched by my pathological dislike of Corbyn and in particular McDonnell and desperation that they do not win. Almost.

But I fail to see the logic in your analysis. There are 650 seats up for grabs. Of that, there's about 60 in Scotland IIRC and I'll concede Labour or SNP will win all of those, so effectively Labour.

It doesn't matter how much of a landslide it is, there are only the 60 seats and how many do the Tories have to lose? 16 is it? So that's a swing of say 32.

Of the 590 seats left, the Tories, Labour, LibDems and the Brexit Party will mop up virtually all the votes. Ok the greens may get a few votes here and there, but the first 4 will get nearly all of them.

Labour will lose some Brexit voters to the Tories or the Brexit party and the Tories will lose some voters to the LibDems (not many imo - most hate Corbyn and will vote LibDem as being as far lesser evil.)

The Tories however have the possibility of picking up millions of Brexit Party voters. Where are the millions of extra Labour votes going to come from, to compensate for the ones they have lost to the LibDems? The greens? They will probably vote green. And if not, LibDem. Who else? There isn't anyone else.

Do you know there are 4 million remain voting Tories, and many more that didn't vote or don't want a no deal Brexit?

If Boris wins it will be in a coalition with Nigel Farage and put the country on the brink of a no deal Brexit. But you keep talking about the dangers of Corbyn.

Because the election would be on Johnsons terms not his. It is really not hard to understand that.

Labour should not enable a Tory election, they should do what the Tories do not want and that is to keep them floundering like beached whales in the baby pool and destroy that **** Johnson for good.

Cheadle_hulmeBlue knows this, everyone knows this, it's just not useful for his argument to acknowledge it, so he doesn't.

Other selective memory lapses and recurring themes are....

Corbyn is a leaver so remainers can't trust him, Seamus Milne is as bad as Dominic Cummings, Corbyn lies as much as Johnson, John McDonnell is more dangerous than a hard Brexit, Corbyn is only out for his own political advancement, he's a terrorist sympathiser, a Marxist who'll turn us in to Venezuela, toxic at the ballot box, frail in health and a bit dim.....Oh and he's an anti-Semite.

I'll get back to you with the rest.

What on earth is wrong with you???

Of course he does. He’s one of them. I think his point was that Corbyn will have all on to win an election and even with all the current shenanigans in the Tory party, it’s difficult to argue with that, especially when you consider on the flip side that there are millions of disaffected Labour voters who voted Leave.

I'd rather cut my cock off with a rusty spoon than see Corbyn, that loathsome piece of shit, in Downing street. Unless employed as a cleaner, and even then it's iffy.
