Hiya Pink,
Not posted on this thread for a while. I don't know where you're living, but I work within a field that uses an organisation called Change, Grow, Live or CGL as it's mostly known. They're a bit of a catchall, but within their remit is to help individuals in all sorts of situations and mental health is one of those services. I would try and self-refer to Adult Social Services to get a social worker to advocate on your behalf and try and get things moving quicker for you.
The good thing is, for CGL, you don't have to be referred through your GP, you can also self-refer to this service who can also work with a SW if you get one. Maybe a SW could get you a PCP (Person Centred Planner) who can make regular contact and support you into getting some social activity/ engagement while you're waiting for things to roll along? Who knows? I think a PCP can work with you for 6 weeks to 6 months if one is available in your area?
The point is, you won't need to be going through things alone if you're willing to engage with the help.
You can find a local CGL access online. I hope there's one near you. DM me and let me know how you get on in this regard if you choose this pathway.
