General Videogame Thread

AC Origins is nothing like that now. It more of a Witcher 3 type game. It very varied and tons to do. Combat is a lot better and it has a good story. The map is huge. Its basically the whole of Egypt. And yes you can climb to the top of the pyramids of Giza!
Wow! Does it feature the Valley of the Kings and if so, is it accurate and can you go inside the tombs, e.g. Seti I? Does it feature an accurate depiction of Karnak Temple and Djeser-Djeseru? Cheers.

Valley of the kings is in but its DLC so ive not been there as ive not paid for it. I think you can go into the tombs as you can go into the pyramids of giza. In the game there is a discovery mode where you are completely free to go anywhere in the map without having to fight anyone. Theres around 150 landmarks across the map of Egypt which when you reach one its turns into an interactive history lesson. Each landmark lesson is around 10-15 minutes long. Not only that but it also tells you about Egypts relationship with Rome and the Greeks in that time it was set(around 45BC). Im actually enjoying that mode as much as the game. Apparently Ubisoft employed archaeologists and Egyptologists to make sure the game is as historically accurate as possible and it shows.

One example of that is the hieroglyphics you see on the wall are accurate. The level of detail is fantastic. Also not going to spoil much here but both Cleopatra and Julius Caesar are both in the game and are implemented brilliantly.

DLC is priced at £30 at the minute but im sure in a couple of months that will be reduced

On the PS4 you can only play this game if you sign up to the monthly contract where you can play as many games as you want but ain’t paying £12.99 a month so it a bummer.

Plus you're playing a stream so the quality ain't too good, and it's bordered. They do a free week now and again though, but like you, I wouldn't pay for it. Oh, and most are ps3.

Has anyone played Ni No kuni 2 yet? I bloody loved the first one and was planning on picking this up at some point. It's pretty much a cross between Pokémon and a Studio Ghibli movie
