Getting a beer...

I'm pretty sure that it's been established that the club browse this forum. That being the case, it's a mystery why the service is so poor given the regular threads on this subject. Is it that they don't really care about the service provided to the fans?

They listened,by changing the menus, for a better selection,(allegedly),but still have the useless cunts serving it am afraid

Anyone use the new Pop Up bar over at the Academy Stadium before the game. What was it like and how did the token scheme work?

Employing well trained (and better paid) staff, and changing the way they serve beer, would reap huge benefits in takings. It's insane that no-one has taken a grip of this.

Absolutely this. The club allow so much income to slip through the net by making it so frustrating to purchase anything inside the ground. The poor girl on SS3 looked blank when I gave her a tenner for a pint and just stared into the till, I eventually had to tell her it was one of those blue notes and a little gold coloured coin she wanted.

Very hard work using the vouchers, we were one of the first at Summerbee's bar to be met with staff who had no idea what they were, who after talking with team leader (who either hadn't briefed them or hadnt been told herself) still tried to charge me £4. the highlight was when she asked me if it was supposed to look like that as it settled. while there half the tills that didn't work either and toilets that were a disgrace.

In the ground 5 mins after the gates opened, again you think I was passing the black spot from Treasure Island trying to use a pie/pint voucher. Took 5 mins from front of queue for a pint that was 9/10ths full when poured bring topped up and a pie that was red hot but stone cold in the middle. Same issues needing a team leader and staff who again asked for the full price.

Toilets inside hadn't been cleaned had a piss and the piss stones were blocked by fag ends.

Anyway we won, I'll experience the toilets and the odd pint during the season but no further voucher hassle or pie issues at those prices.

Moan,moan,moan......

I had the exact experience in regards the vouchers! The poor staff didn't have a clue what the vouchers were and it took ages to get sorted!

Shoddy but expected with Fab Fanfayre from what I've heard about them.

Have your Beer before the game and after. Cheaper and less frustrating.

Frustrating is a perfect word for the experience in the ground. My son spent all half time queuing for a pie to find out when he got to the front they had none. Now its seems they didn't have the nous to restock when they ran out at half time.

Hopeless, helpless and hapless.

I went to get a coffee before kick off at one kiosk to be told we dont do them here. The next kiosk i went to the till and coffee machine were broke.

Its not just the kiosk that are the problem, the club shop and stands outside didnt have prices of items on and the floor in ss2 could do with a lick of paint.

Took the words out of my mouth. It makes you think of the old army term - all brains and no common sense.

Seeing as everybody is educated to at least 18 these days virtually every kid is some form of student. I expect many of these are far from being the cream of the crop. Sadly whatever qualification they're going for at college or 'uni' will only leave them qualified for what they're doing now - terribly paid drudgery.

Service was shite. Doesn't help at 5.30 kick offs when people turn up wanting to buy their tea for the entire family at half time.

it annoys me that they don't relay the match on the teles in ss3 - by the time you get served the games restarted. I never bother anymore buying at halftime because of this.

Took ages getting a beer before the game. They couldn't pour a pint, they couldn't work the till, they couldn't work the card readers, in fact there wasn't a lot they could do. City have invested in speed pumps which are totally wasted when the staff can't use them quick enough. Then after it took me the best part of 15 mins to get served in a queue that was only 2 in front of me they came around with a survey. Personally I'm happy with the quantity and quality of some of the stuff bearing in mind where we are but you should have seen their faces when I explained, in detail, how their staff are either badly trained or not up to it.

Can anyone explain the point of the 10% discount voucher that was sent with our Season ticket tin/pack which offers 10% off kit bought in the city shop? It came with my season ticket so I took it with my season ticket on Saturday, to use when buying the new home shirt. I expected to be able to get the 10% STicket discount plus an extra 10% for the voucher. But - no - was told I could either use my STicket discount OR the voucher. So basically the voucher is worthless to ST holders to whom it was sent. Am I missing the point?
