Gigs Thread

Due to go Lytham Festival on Sunday to watch Simple Minds and Texas, but they've cancelled tonight's show about half an hour ago due to the weather. Ironically enough, tonight is Alanis Morissette

forecast ain't to bad now, looks like could rain about 10 tonight just as it wraps up, live here now so could be a moist walk home
 
I was at the ELO gig last night and towards the end of the show they had to get a chair for him, he didn't look well. They should of made the announcement this morning, feel sorry for everyone who travelled there tonight to be told 45mins before the show that it's been cancelled.

Probably trying his best to do the gig but if he wasn’t great last night then would have been for the best.

Can’t say for 100% sure if it’s the same tribute band she saw but the name sounds the same, ELO is my Mum’s favorite band and she honestly thought the tribute band were better than the real thing back in 2023 when they last toured.

I was at the gig on Weds and Jeff Lynne was fooked physically and his voice was very poor. I've half got my eye on this myself to see if it satisfies my ELO fix.

Those who saw him Wednesday will 'get' why he didn't play Thursday. Actually was sad to see him try, and at his age his management should be pulling the plug. I doubt his fans want to see and remember it like that.

Summed it up perfectly. I've been fortunate to see ELO a couple of times, last time was probably 2018 at the AO and what a gig that was. Part of me wishes that I didn't take the last minute decision to see them on Weds.

However I am expecting the Co-Op to be naming an area after me soon :) After no gigs in a whole year of opening, I've now done 3 in 3 weeks :)
