Went to see Osees at Leeds last Friday, love a band with two drummers, they were right at the front of the stage, emitting real energy into the room.
Charlatans a week on Thursday can’t wait someone mentioned that Embrace and the Coral where on to , any ideas if true ?
Just been listening to The Charlatans' soundcheck from my mate's flat in Castlefield. They have an extremely loud Hammond organ, but overall sounded fantastic.
Yes, it is The Coral & Embrace as support tonight. Wish I was going, but can't afford to attend the entire string of gigs, so just did Elbow & returning for Bloc Party next Thursday.
Thanks mate can’t wait for tonight where Elbow on last night and then Shed Seven tomorrow?
Was there last night, got there just after 7 and ended up at the back of the steps so didn’t see much, had 10 year old lad on my shoulders for half of it so was fucked by the end. Great gig though and he thoroughly enjoyed it.Off to see Elbow & The Slow Readers Club at Castlefield Bowl tomorrow evening, then Bloc Party at the same venue next Thursday.
I think it's a cracking venue, although I always get in early to secure a spot on the steps at the back.
