Just home from the Albert Hall and the excellent Jalen Ngonda gig.

the mans voice is sublime, nice to briefly see @bluejon on the way out though I couldn't find you outside so I fucked off home ;-)

Yes, went to this gig as well.
Jalen is a talent, with the ability to make it look effortless.
Love the Albert Hall, but it gets bloody warm in there !!!

sunday gig mate, we scooted. had to stomp back up to the aquatic centre to get the car. that was brilliant tonight, and michael kiwanuka on thursday too, top week.

Went the CO-OP last night for Teddy Swims, really good gig. Been before for James but had seats, much better down on the floor last night for me.

Michael Kiwanuka at the Apollo tonight. A long time since I’ve been there, anyone know what parking is like?

I’m thinking of driving part of the way and parking up somewhere on the 192 route but maybe it’s not necessary?

Saw Norwegian Post Punk band Pom Poko at Brudenell Social Club on Tuesday, really good along with support band Alien Chicks.

Got tickets for Massive Attack at Co-Op in June, what's it like using the official car park is it a nightmare getting out and if so what are the better alternatives? My local geography is not great.

Any info appreciated.

Got our tickets for Junes Brummie concert, to see the one and only Smokey Robinson. He`s only doing four concerts in the UK so absolutely delighted to see one of my all time favourite Tamla artists.
I`m not surprised the shows start at 6.00 pm, seeing he fucking 84 years young. He`ll be tucked up in bed by 9.00 with his Horlicks.

What did you think?
I thought the acoustics of the hall were utter shite.
I am in total agreement... I was near the mixing desk and it was shite.
The bouncing floor didn't do it for me. Rip it out and put a sloping floor in!!!
Spent most of the gig near the bar.
The sound was still crap. I enjoyed the band/set but would have been happy to hear more of it.
Funnily enough I got talking to a bloke, who had a spare ticket for the Flaming Lips, but neither of us knew, how he could sell it to me....
Oh for a paper ticket!

you are being, he asked where he could get a cheap pint of holts, hairy is the cheapest in town and close to the venue he never used the word pub tbf ;-)
Funnily enough, inside the venue, I asked for a pint of their cheapest lager and a woman overheard me and laughed. She then congratulated me for my style!!!
I had to admit I was just a tight ****, when I was younger, I would have chanced my arm and offered to buy her an half.
