Gigs Thread

Was at the Glasshouse last night. Hadn't been for years. My has it gone to the dogs. However, the sound was as good as always.
Suzanne Vega was brilliant. My only gripe was when she had a bit of a rant against Trump about a dozen people in the crowd booed. If you don't want to hear Americans complaining about their President do some research on the songs she is likely to perform and her political beliefs.

My wife just saw David Byrne in Chicago last night, said in top five all time, incredible little theatre. I notice he’s doing two nights in Manchester in March, for any talking heads fans I’d suggest buying tickets

Fields of the Nephilim last night at O2Ritz were brilliant. Anyone else go?
Didn't go, but great band.

And three potentially cracking gigs next month. Nation of Language at New Century Hall, Alex G at the academy and the Horrors at the albert hall.

I was talking to my mate over there on the weekend and he has tickets for that.
Also said he was going to se the psychedelic porn crumpets. No idea who the fuck that is but they're playing here soon.

That theater looks the dog’s knob

I went to Amyl and the sniffers last Saturday, very good musicians but Amy's voice starts to grate after half a dozen songs. I like her and them, she certainly gives it everything she's got, but I won't be going to see them again.
The Horrors at New Century next for me

Yeah. I saw them a few years ago and came to pretty much the same conclusion. They weren’t bad at all, but a bit of a one-trick pony and it fairly quickly got to the point where I was just waiting for it to end.

Booked Weller at the Piece Hall (anyone been ? New one for me that)

Neighbourhood Weekender line ups announced today so I will probably go to one as it’s on my doorstep.

Ashcroft headlining Saturday and Blossoms Sunday.

Out watching Boomtown Rats at Bridgewater Hall
Says support is Professionals but I don't think it's the Paul Cook Steve Jones one
