Give Eastlands its Kippax

Done....maybe an e-mail on this should be sent to Gary Cook...he says he is always looking for ways to improve the club...so let's give him the chance.

Just done - 137.

I have said before on the site that French footy (which I watch now and again) does this very very well. The footy is often pedestrian, but there is always a section of the ground with noise, flags, flares etc.

There are also often 'cheerleaders' armed with megaphones to whip up the noise. At Caen once two guys cheerleading faced the crowd the whole match (mind you, at Caen facing the crowd is probably better than facing the pitch!).

We should be doing this better.

Excellent idea.
I have a small one of my own. What about the East Stand? One side would make it big enough to house the fans who want to sing, because I tried to get a half seasoncard in the South stand and found it difficult, so I ended up getting one in 110. It's also next to the aways.

the away fans will never be moved because of the police, i think all vocal supporters should be together at one end where they cannot EVER be moved for cup matches & that has to be the north stand

signed -157

why spend £19m on jo when they could of used it to cheapen the half arsed efforts of shite we buy at half time to eat, cheapen the beer, whats wrong with £2 a pint? and have stalls INSIDE the ground selling bananas an flags. and city should have 1 or 2 HUGE flags for the fans to pass around during the game. and why not make the colin bell stands the singin section alongside the southstand? im sure there are people who, even in the northstand want to shout and cheer at every match but are worried the hundreds of boring, dull, outfashioned, ''im in my mid 40's and this is my first match since i heard city bought robin what's his face'' twats giving him the ''you cant stand and cheer, that's just...well...OUTRAGEOUS'' looks. i really do hope that in the future, half of the FA'S higher rachy who know sweet FA about football will maybe listen to the voices of the true fans for a club which we all support so much.

Some people are just too simplistic about this.

This is what happens at City.

That stupid PA shuts up and the game kicks off.

The South Stand start a rendition of "We are not really here". 111 start a rendition of "Bluemoon" at exactly the same time. the rest of the ground sit in silence.

the away fans start up a song. The south stand start up a chorus of "If you hate Man United". 111 can't hear them because of the away fans so start off something else. The South Stand's song doesn't get going beyond those 2 blocks because the Colin Bell stand never sings.

Eventually, after 5 minutes of this, the rest of the ground feel isolated from the signing and sit in silence, the two singing areas start to get annoyed that their songs are not catching on.

An important point to note is that when songs do get sung right round the ground, in my opinion they tend to start off at the other end - the North Stand! This is because it is one of the few occasions when both these two sectins hear the song and sing together.

With one voice, people like me who sit up the side but would get behind the team with a song if it spread, would sing much more. As it is, I'm not joining in with a muddy noise from two ends.
its right that actually,if we can get a few songs started in each game from the north stand the rest will defo join in,maybe if we can get 100 starting the singing off in a group in the north stand it will work!!
