Was a big Khruangbin when their first album came out but I became incredibly bored with them as they released more new material. They've become the sound of someone slitting their wrist with an incense stick.

In your opinion, I trust if a fellow poster says he has never heard of them he hasn't, the beatles and stones is different, but zeplin, I work with people younger than me by 20 years would know stairway to heaven as a song but not it was by them and not know who they are, not their era not their music.

I don't presume or expect they need to either

Anyway this is a glasto thread not a zeplon one we have had all that bollocks in the band vote threads, thank fuck rush din't do glatonbury, then this place would get derailed with 70s rock waffle
I’m a ‘she‘ actually and thanks for the agreement. Although I’m working, I will pick up on the Glastonbury acts over the next couple of days from the list of who’s appearing, I like the Pet Shop Boys and Diana Ross and one or two others.

Stairway to Heaven.
Whole Lotta Love
Rock n Roll.

3 of the most famous songs of the last god knows how many years.

How is hermit life?
I’ve heard of a couple of his bands songs, the top two as you’ve mentioned. I was brought up in a household listening to music from every single genre, I wouldn’t say that makes me a hermit:)

Loved seeing the Blossoms set last night. For a young band, it's very impressive how many well-crafted and arranged, mature songs they have in their canon already.

Devastated to have missed Robert Plant yesterday and everyone seems to be talking about his set so I hope I can see it on iPlayer or something.

It'll be good to see Skunk Anansie this afternoon. Obviously looking forward to McCartney tonight and Elbow tomorrow.

Curious about seeing Cassetteboy live - that could be very interesting indeed!

There was some decent stuff yesterday.

I watched full sets from Idles, Khruangbin & Foals. Caught up with Sleaford Mods full set recording this morning and watching catch up of Sean Kuti & Egypt 80 now. Enjoyed all of these.

As an old punk Idles are the closest to raw “new wave” music. Incredible set.

Looking forward to Fontaines DC on Sunday.

It's never too late to get into good music - it can and will change your life! Get basically any Led Zeppelin album and then you can get to know Robert Plant intimately and become a happier person as a result. Then get any Bowie and Pink Floyd albums from the 70s and all of the Smiths albums and everything in this world will move a step closer to making some sort of sense.
Funnily enough I was ‘bought’ Ziggy Stardust LP for my birthday by my brother back in the 70’s, along with Relics by Pink Floyd, Close to the Edge by Yes. So my taste is eclectic. I think he liked Led Zep but it was just too much for me. Unfortunately The Smiths is beyond my limit, I’m afraid;) I go along with my brothers taste as he was the one who took me to my first City match:)
