goalie fights fan

I'm glad the keeper defended himself but he took it too far when he started kicking the bloke on the floor, some of you posting on here might enjoy that kind of thing on a Friday night but I think it's sick.

He should have got out of the way and let the stewards deal with it once the guy had been floored, the ref was wrong to show him a red as it had nothing to do with the game but he probably deserved a word from the Dutch FA.

It's most likely that its in the rules, and as ridiculous as it looks, rules are rules at the end of the day.

Whilst it looks ridiculous to have sent him off, its most likely in the rules that he had to, so if that's the case what choice did the ref have?
And its NOT self defence, that passed as soon as the guy hit the floor. From then on it was assault from the keeper. Kicking someone whilst they're on the floor is one of the single most shit head things you can do during a fight, followed closely behind attacking someone from behind like the **** of an ajax fan appeared to do. Don't be thinking the keeper is all sweetness and light though. If I was him I'd be fucking well ashamed of myself as currently there is a video of him kicking someone whilst they're on the floor. Shitheads trick.

So if someone tries to jump you from behind you would put them on the floor, let them get back up and then have to put them on the floor again. For all the keeper knows this man could have a knife and I doubt he planned on letting him have a second pop. I think most of the people in this thread have never had a fight. I got jumped from behind when I was out once and it resulted with me kicking the guy in the face whilst he was on the ground. The police saw it and just gave me a talking to whilst the moron who jumped me from behind went off to the police station in a van. The police just used common sense, is that really to much to ask from a ref? Should I be ashamed of myself for not letting someone twat me? Fucking bunch of liberals in this thread.

yep, violent conduct to any player, official or spectator will result in a red card, cant argue with the refs decision at all,

Ref was completely right in my opinion.

Professional players can't go kicking fuck out of fans, pitch invader or not

Alkmaar goalkeeper sent off for kicking pitch invader

Good on him I say, and good on the manager for taking the team off in protest. The guy clearly goes to attack the keeper from behind and deserves the kicking he gets.

-- Thu Dec 22, 2011 3:24 pm --

Just realised there's already a thread on this. Sorry mods....

technically by the letter of the law the ref HAS to send him off

common sense should really stop him from doing so though.

i remember a few months back when this happened in a lower english league too, a player rugby tackled a pitch invader. same response then.

It happened in non-league over here and the same result... ref sent the player off.
