A vision just hit me of you holding a kleenex whilst typing that..... he goneeeeeeee

I dont know what you problem is, but I bet it hard to pronounce!

It's actually you, i dislike you immensely, in layman's terms you're a sphincter!!

Add (r) and ('s) accordingly.

I am "immensely" gutted that I am not like by you. I will be nicer if you try and be smarter"

Seriously? People are stating that he's a City 'legend?

Bwuahahahahahaha!

He's taken out much more than he's ever put in at City.

Give your heads a wobble you clowns and actually look up what the word 'legend' means. You will see that applying the term to Mario is fucking ridiculous.

Mario is a LEGEND

He's a media legend not a City legend,I'm more of a City legend then he is.
because scoring on canal st. is more important! ;)

Mario is a LEGEND

as if. could have been but not a chance now. shame.

It’s all semantics about what constitutes a “legend”.
In my eyes he has contributed, at times in a major way (Wembley semi and final, 6-1, and aguero goal), to the most incredible 18 months of my 30 years on this planet supporting city.
Happy to take the rough with the smooth with Mario because the few major contributions he made to this club were just that – major.
Not saying he’s a city legend but there will always be a place in my heart for Mario and if I ever saw him I would sincerely thank him for his contribution to the club.

All the best Mario!

Yes and if I'd have spelt it like that no one would have got the connection to ore, you know the stuff that miners mine.
How to ruin a pun in one easy step.

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to ruin your pun.

And I do know the difference between miners and minors and the difference between ore and awe. I am of a generation that was taught to spell properly.

I was just trying to be funny.

You obviously didn't get my humour.

As punishment I'm banishing you to the transfer forum and you have to read all the threads before coming back.

Awwwww (no pun intended) please don't do that to him Stony. :-)

Mario is a LEGEND

So's this, are you suggesting it should play for us too ?

Does it track back?
It's cup tied.

Mario is definitely now a City legend. Looking back years from now, seeing the rise of Manchester City, the highlight reels will show him involved in all the pivotal moments. Nobody, with perhaps the exception of Yaya, has symbolised the transcendence of us over our Trafford rivals better than Mario. He'll be the iconic imagery that will be associated with it.

From the wink at Ferdinand, to the shot that rebounded into Yaya's path, to the first two and the Evans sending off in the 6-1, to the last gasp winner against QPR. Mario was there for those magical iconic moments which might never be bettered. These last two years, have been unbelievable, they might never even be topped. Winning the FA Cup, beating the rags on the way, and grabbing the title after their season had already finished, and Mario was there, right in the heart of those key moments.

This is probably one of the more immature posts I have put on Bluemoon, but whilst I accept he is nowhere near as good as Yaya, Sergio, Kompany, Tevez, Silva- our top players, there is something about Mario that I, and others, love.

The ultimate marmite footballer, and I see him as a loveable rogue. I would have loved him to suceed here, but it never clicked like some of us may have hoped, and unfortunately for him this season was the worst of the 2 and a half he's been here.

Anyway, my pointless Mario story, but made me smile....

By chance I found myself behind him next to Bridgewater Hall leaving Manchester on Sunday afternoon. I decided to try and follow him as much as he could. Wishful thinking, but I am sure he cottoned on to my game, on the m56 he pulled into the middle lane as we approached a queue and let me past him (I video'd the whole 'chase'), as we stopped I looked in and nodded, he nodded back and gave thumbs up. He then raced up behind me, I let him past and then I got off at Wilmslow. He did too. He burnt me off at the lights, (by no means were we racing, he may have sped off at these lights, but no speeding was done) and then he slowed down, i turned off right just before the airport tunnel and flashed him as I turned off, he put his hazards on in return and thumbs up out of the window.

There you are, a pointless, and very immature tale of me following Mario for a short while on Sunday. I should have left him alone, let him be, but I am convinced he was playing along too. If he goes, I'll be glad that this was the parting gift....!!

Would have been happier had the parting gift been on the pitch, but not going to happen!!!

Mario is a LEGEND

He is a Legend
u missed a a space i see, think you mean Leg end

When Mario finally goes, the one thing he will have proved without any argument is just how poor broadcasting/press standards in this country are now. Completely nonsense about him written up as fact, any half wit story on twitter finding its way into print the next day (or Channel 4 news) etc etc. We could go on.

Given that it looks like he's only going to be in the country for another 24 hours or so, there's going to be a deluge of this shit in the press over the next few days as the journos get their final fix. Think we should start a new thread with our best guesses (no real imagination required) of what will be in the papers over the next few days.

To kick-off the Balotelli Bingo, I would suggest any of the following non-stories:

- How he gave a five grand tip to the taxi driver at the airport

- How his landlord found a huge cache of fireworks in his house

- How he gave his Bentley away to the cleaner at his house

- How he plans to fly Manchester's Big Issue sellers to Milan for Xmas

- How he had a massive row with his Mum in Wythy shortly before he left the country (leaving on-looking dart players in the pub shocked)

- And how he plans to move Wimblydon the cat back to Milan with him

Have I missed anything?
