Well there are definately no more hiding places or excuses for super Mario now!
He engineered the move of his dreams,he is back in his home country, surrounded by friends and family,he is supposedly a world class footballer,we shall now see.
Personally i think he never gave a fuck about us,the club or the fans.He was suprised to find himself here and seemed to on the whole treat it as a jolly, like a kid playing up in detention but knowing if he plays up enough he will be expelled, which is his aim anyway and in the meantime he picks up a hundred grand a week.
Mancini loved and treated him like a son but on the whole he pissed all over that love, with little respect shown for his authority or position.
In spite of that we as fans also loved him.We loved his zany maverik character and the glimpses of his potential he showed all too rarely. He became a cult figure more for his off field antics than on.
Now it is over.I will remember him for the two goals at the swamp,THAT T-shirt and winding up camel gob at wembley........last but not least for THAT assist. After that it is hard to think of many more memorable moments on the field and that says it all.
