Is his wife coming over too ??
And the weirdest question of the decade award goes to.......

Throughout the thread warpig/schalke have mentioned that they were trying to get his wife over with him too, but in the latest update it didnt mention whether they had been successful in doing that so was only asking the question..... is that alright with you ?

Well done everyone!

Now, since both Gordon and myself both live in Melbourne, can you ask him to swing by and pick me up??

To answer the question guys, we received money from a donor who wishes to remain anonymous but who has paid for his lovely wife to visit also. i find it pretty remarkable how all you guys have dug in and made this happen, in the space of a month, the people that you have touched by your kind gestures are unreal. As we have said Gordon was last in the UK 10 years ago, so words cannot describe how he feels coming to see family, that maybe he might not of seen again. You really are a good bunch, never mind what the others say :).

-- Sat Apr 10, 2010 11:11 pm --

Just as a matter of interest does anyone know who won the original comp and how did Gordon do overall??

a fella called steve salt won it. link is below. dont think they ever released a breakdown of who got what votes so i guess we will never known how gordon actually did.

As i have said before, i hope to meet Gordon so if he does get a ticket for Level One please send him around to the perimeter of 106/107 to introduce himself.

I was hoping we were going to get a chance to have a drink with Gordon, but my stewarding will obviously cock this up for me unless a post match drink is organised.

Personally I would like this to happen so that i could buy TFS and Warpig a drink for their excellent work as well as meet up with more fellow bluemooners who I havent had the pleasure of meeting yet! ( surely Mary D's could accomodate an after match drink say after the Spurs game).

What do other donaters/Bluemooners think?

Sorry I didn't reply sooner lads, been out for the evening.

Basically, as I remember someone emailed Radio Manchester praising all the fans who had contributed but especially TFS and Warpig, the guy said he didn't know your real names and Jimmy Wagg reckoned (with irony I guess) that TFS & W were definitely not your real names! :-) The emailer said that dozens, if not hundreds, of City fans had contributed and, if I remember rightly said that you had raised over £1200. He finished off by saying that was just what he would have expected from City fans and Jimmy Wagg totally agreed with him and said he had not heard about it but said what an absolutely fantastic gesture.

I hope I am remembering that correctly, not sure if there might have been more, he did mention that Gordon was coming over from Oz.

Once again, well done lads.

(Think I might have made a pigs ear of the quoting bit sorry!)
