I remember years ago he threw a large cardboard box out of the Surrey dressing room at Old Trafford.He hit a member on the head; all hell broke loose.

Remember him always coming in at 20/3 and having to resurrect most England innings of the 90s.
His innings in the first series win in Pakistan in Karachi in failing light will be long remembered.
Vaguely remember reports of his illness, but this has shocked me a bit.
Sounds like he scored well on and off the pitch. I’m of a mind to recall the short armed jabbed pull more though.

Sad news, held England's middle order together for years. Top class test batsman and seemed like a nice bloke aswell.

Shocking news, way too young.
